  • The study investigates the link between dietary patterns (DP) and age-related cataracts (ARC) in individuals aged 50-80 in Iran.
  • Four major dietary patterns were identified: "Unhealthy," "Healthy," "Salty foods," and "Mixed," with the Unhealthy pattern significantly increasing the risk of ARC, while the Healthy pattern showed a protective effect.
  • The results suggest that unhealthy eating habits, particularly those high in salt, are associated with a higher risk of developing ARC, highlighting the need for further research.
