Introduction: Second-generation antipsychotics (SGA) are associated with misuse potential; however, there are limited data describing the prevalence and characteristics of this misuse. This study was conducted to identify and describe quetiapine and olanzapine misuse among US adults.

Methods: This cross-sectional survey questionnaire was conducted online using Qualtrics research panel aggregator service to identify a quota-based sample of respondents constructed to mimic the general US population aged 18 to 59 years, with regards to gender, geographic region, ethnicity, income, and education level.

Introduction: The objective of this educational activity was to evaluate the impact of a virtually simulated Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) activity on pharmacy student knowledge and confidence of insulin management.

Methods: An online CYOA activity was created using TypeForm, version 2 (TypeForm SL) for a third-year pharmacy school diabetes elective with 16 enrollees over two course offerings. Through use of interactive storytelling, students used critical thinking skills to make decisions in six simulated patient's care including initiation, counseling, conversions, and titration of multiple types of insulin.

Background: Adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors are stored and shipped frozen which poses logistic and economic barriers for global access to these therapeutics. Introduction: Olanzapine (OLZ) is a second generation antipsychotic that is approved for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder type 1 as monotherapy (acute manic or mixed episodes, maintenance), or as an add-on to lithium or valproate (manic or mixed episodes). It is one of the most effective antipsychotics for the treatment of schizophrenia, but concerns remain due to its significant metabolic adverse effects. Notably, OLZ has one of the highest rates of weight gain among all antipsychotic drugs.

Background: Oregon pharmacists can autonomously prescribe hormonal contraception, naloxone, and various medications and devices from a Formulary and Protocol Compendia (FPC). Prescribing using the FPC has seen limited uptake.
