In this research, various concentrations of molybdenum (2, 4 and 6 wt%) doped FeO nanostructures (Mo-FeO NSs) were prepared a co-precipitation technique. Various techniques were then used to investigate the optical, morphological and structural properties of the NSs in the presence of the dopant materials. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to investigate the crystalline nature of the prepared NSs and confirm the orthorhombic and tetragonal structure of FeO, with a decrease in crystallinity and crystallite sizes of 36.

Tailoring TiO/AlO heterolayers as optical filters for the visible region.

Nanoscale Adv

March 2022

School of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University Shaw Technical Science Building, Haidian District Beijing 100084 P. R. China

Optical filters operating in the visible region of the spectrum are highly desired for applications ranging from optical communication and sensing to fluorescence microscopy and skin therapy. However, complex fabrication procedures and/or inferior performance, limit the practical applications of previously reported thin-film-based optical filters. Herein, we describe the structual design concepts and facile fabrication of vertically stacked heterolayers of TiO/AlO to obtain a bandpass filter and a longwave pass edge filter operating in the spectral range 410-600 nm and 400-597 nm, respectively.

Graphene oxide (GO) and cellulose nanocrystal (CNC)-doped TiO quantum dots (QDs) were effectively synthesized by employing the co-precipitation method for the degradation of dyes and antimicrobial applications. A series of characterizations, , XRD, FTIR, UV-visible spectroscopy, EDS, FE-SEM, and HR-TEM, was used to characterize the prepared samples. A reduction in PL intensity was observed, while the band gap energy ( ) decreased from 3.

Novel tantalum (Ta) and chitosan (CS)-doped CuO nanorods (NRs) were synthesized using a single step co-precipitation route. Different concentrations (2 and 4%) of Ta were used in fixed amounts of CS and CuO to examine their catalytic activity and antimicrobial potential. For critical analysis, synthesized NRs were systematically examined using XRD, FTIR HRTEM, EDS, UV-Vis and PL spectroscopy.

Fuzzy hybrid models are strong mathematical tools to address vague and uncertain information in real-life circumstances. The aim of this article is to introduce a new fuzzy hybrid model named as of q-rung orthopair m-polar fuzzy soft set (q-RO-m-PFSS) as a robust fusion of soft set (SS), m-polar fuzzy set (m-PFS) and q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS). A q-RO-m-PFSS is a new approach towards modelling uncertainties in the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problems.

To study the impacts of thermosonication (TS), the spinach juice treated with TS (200 W, 400 W, and 600 W, 30 kHz, at 60 ± 1 °C for 20 mint) were investigated for bioactive compounds, antioxidant activities, color properties, particle size, rheological behavior, suspension stability, enzymatic and microbial loads. As a result, TS processing significantly improved the bioactive compounds (total flavonols, total flavonoids, total phenolic, carotenoids, chlorophyll, and anthocyanins), antioxidant activities (DPPH and FRAP assay) in spinach juice. Also, TS treatments had higher b*,L*, hue angle (h), and chroma (C) values, while minimuma* value as compared to untreated and pasteurized samples.
