Background: Conventional axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) is associated with significant post-operative morbidity in patients undergoing breast surgery due to increased lymphatic leakage. LigaSure, an electrothermal bipolar vessel sealing system, provides better closure of the leakage. This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety of LigaSure against conventional techniques in patients with breast cancer underwent ALND and breast surgery.

Middle Turbinate Angiofibroma in a Middle-Aged Female: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Unlabelled: Extra Nasopharyngeal Angiofibromas are rare benign vascular tumors typically affecting adolescent males. They have variable sites of origin. Only five cases of extra nasopharyngeal angiofibroma originating from the middle turbinate have been reported in the literature, here we present the sixth such case.

This study aims to determine the frequency of positive family history of gallstone disease in patients presenting with gallstones in a Pakistani population. Purpose: This study aimed to explore patients' experiences of palliative chemotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), how patients adapt to their new and challenging life after chemotherapy, their beliefs, and their quality of life.

Patients And Methods: The study used an exploratory descriptive qualitative approach that was designed to explore the experiences and side effects of NSCLC patients on chemotherapy in Pakistan. The study was designed to obtain a deeper understanding of 22 NSCLC patients' experiences, using a face-to-face approach and interviews were conducted.

Management of an extensive frontal pyocoele using an external approach: A case report.

Pyocoeles of the paranasal sinuses are pus-filled cavities seen in the sinuses and develop from the infection of the mucocoeles. Pyocoeles most commonly form in the frontal sinus. Endoscopic Sinus Surgery is currently the mainstay of the treatment.

Comparison between qualitative and quantitative measurement of strength deficit in shoulder flexors of young females: A cross- sectional study.

Objective: To determine the accuracy of manual muscle testing as a diagnostic tool to detect strength deficit across grades 5 and 4 in shoulder flexors at different percentage deficits of dynamometric strength.

Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at the University of South Asia, Lahore, in collaboration with the Association of Fatima Jinnah Old Graduates, Lahore, Pakistan, from May to June 2019. It included young healthy females aged 18-39 years without any ailment of upper extremity or generalised health problem.

A Comparison of Disease Severity and Outcomes in COVID-19 Cases Taking Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitors/Angiotensin Receptor Blockers Versus Other Antihypertensive Drugs.

Objective In this study, we aimed to compare the severity and outcomes in hypertensive patients presenting with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) who were taking angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs)/angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) and those who were on other antihypertensive drugs. Methods This retrospective cohort study involved 182 hypertensive patients who presented with COVID-19 infection. The study population comprised 91 patients who were taking ACEIs/ARBs (group A) and 91 patients who were taking other antihypertensive drugs such as β-blockers (BBs), calcium channel blockers (CCBs), or thiazides (group B).

Determining the Frequency of Acquired Cystic Kidney Disease in End Stage Renal Disease Patients on Hemodialysis at Dialysis Centre of Tertiary Care Hospital.

Objectives To determine the frequency of acquired cystic kidney disease (ACKD) among patients of end-stage renal disease. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted at the University of Lahore Teaching Hospital after approval from the ethical review committee. About 150 patients with end-stage renal disease fulfilling the inclusion criteria and undergoing three hemodialysis sessions per week for six months were approached.
