This is a comparative study to evaluate the effectiveness of six pomegranate peel extracts (PPEs) as antibacterial and antiproliferative agents. Evaluating online health information utilisation and its psychosocial implications among breast cancer survivors: Qualitative explorations.

Background: This study investigated the online information-seeking behaviours of breast cancer patients at Jordan University Hospital, focusing on their dissatisfaction with available online health resources and its impact on their well-being and anxiety levels.

Methods: Employing descriptive phenomenology and convenience sampling, we conducted five Skype-based focus groups with 4-6 breast cancer survivors each, from March to July 2020. Data analysis was performed using NVivo, following Braun and Clark's inductive thematic analysis framework.

ROS are involved in many physiological processes such as differentiation, proliferation, necrosis, autophagy, and apoptosis by acting as signaling molecules or regulators of transcription factors. Abstract: Endo-biliary stent displacement is rare but can cause intestinal perforation. An 85-year-old woman with a history of ERCPs and biliary stents experienced stomach pain and vomiting.

A successfully treated gastric mucormycosis in an immunocompetent patient: Case report and literature review.

Mucormycosis is an opportunistic fungal infection that usually affects patients with diabetes mellitus or immunosuppression. The fungus invades the nearby blood vessels leading to thrombosis and necrosis of the organs involved. Although Mucorales can invade any organ in the body, the gastrointestinal system is an uncommon site for infection.

The effect of a contact-based intervention on attitudes and intended behaviors of nursing students toward people with mental illness: A quasi-experimental study.

Background And Aim: Although nursing students are professionally and ethically trained and educated to respect patients with a variety of medical and mental problems, they continue to exhibit negative attitudes and behaviors toward mental disease and patients with mental illness. The accumulated evidence indicates that contact-based intervention (CBI) is helpful in enhancing nursing students' attitudes and behaviors toward patients with mental illness. Although evidence found to support the CBI, culture and settings might play a significant role to decide its effectiveness.

Healthcare providers' intention to leave their jobs during COVID-19 pandemic: A cross-sectional study.

Background And Aims: During the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), healthcare providers confronted risks of disease transmission to themselves and their family members, resulting in physical and psychological burdens. This might affect their decisions to leave their jobs temporarily or permanently, fearing infection and protecting their families. This study examined the factors related to the intention to leave a job among healthcare providers during the COVID-19 pandemic in Jordan.

Primary ovarian adenocarcinoma presenting with rubeotic glaucoma and vitritis: A case report.

Ovarian adenocarcinoma is an unusual cause of head or brain metastasis and seeding to the eye ball is extremely rare. A high index of suspicion and a careful ophthalmic examination can guide the patient work up. In this particular case, rubeotic glaucoma and vitritis antedated the diagnosis of ovarian malignancy.

Nowadays, smartphone applications (apps) are literally used in all life aspects, improving the quality of different services in addition to saving time and effort. However, the majority of currently used apps in different universities around the world are limited in their features and not very popular among students who may suffer to get useful information using traditional guiding methods. However, the importance of these apps is constantly increasing, especially in times of crises like the COVID-19 pandemic during which people were forced to work from home and the human interaction was reduced to its minimal degree.

Dietary inflammatory index and odds of breast cancer: A case-control study.

Breast cancer (BrCA) is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers and is the leading cause of cancer deaths in women worldwide. This study aimed to examine the association between the dietary inflammatory index (DII) and BrCA among Jordanian women. A total of 400 adult women were enrolled into this case-control study.
