Background: To better understand the molecular mechanism responsible for the therapeutic potential of vitamin D, we conducted an analysis of the liver transcriptomes of adult female rats.
Methods: Adult female rats (n = 18) were divided into three groups, receiving different doses of vitamin D: group I, 0; group II, 1000 U/kg; and group III, 5000 U/kg. Growth, body weight, the weight of main organs, blood haematological and biochemical parameters were evaluated.

Essential oils exhibit strong antimicrobial effects that can serve as a substitute for synthetic pesticides. However, many reports mention the use of essential oils in protecting above-ground plant organs and storing raw materials and seeds, but only a few address the effects of treatments on soil microbiota. Regarding this, it is necessary to find a solution that will prevent the rapid degradation of oils in soil and extend the period of their action on the soil microbiota.

Horse musculature has been shaped through evolution by environmental and human factors, which has resulted in several extraordinary adaptations to physical effort. Skeletal muscle plasticity results from the response to mechanical stimulation causing hypertrophy, where sarcomeres increase the muscle's cross-sectional area under the influence of contractile forces.
