Introduction: The 400 000 residents of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) experienced two distinct lockdowns aimed at mitigating the transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection. Analysing effects of these lockdowns on maternal and neonatal outcomes presents a valuable opportunity to assess the impact of pandemic-level restrictions on maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Aim: Evaluate the impacts of restrictions from two lockdown periods on maternal, birthing, and neonatal outcomes within a regional local health district.

Inter-reader reliability of a new scoring system for evaluating joint inflammation and enthesitis in whole body MRI (WBMRI) in juvenile idiopathic arthritis was tested. The scoring system grades 732 item-region combinations of bone marrow and soft tissue changes for commonly involved joints and entheseal sites. Five radiologists rated 17 WBMRI scans through an online rating platform.

These first Australian National Standards of Care for Childhood-onset Heart Disease (CoHD Standards) have been developed to inform the healthcare requirements for CoHD services and enable all Australian patients, families and carers impacted by CoHD (paediatric CoHD and adult congenital heart disease [ACHD]) to live their best and healthiest lives. The CoHD Standards are designed to provide the clarity and certainty required for healthcare services to deliver excellent, comprehensive, inclusive, and equitable CoHD care across Australia for patients, families and carers, and offer an iterative roadmap to the future of these services. The CoHD Standards provide a framework for excellent CoHD care, encompassing key requirements and expectations for whole-of-life, holistic and connected healthcare service delivery.

Introduction: Preeclampsia is a common hypertensive disorder of pregnancy. Several studies have demonstrated that protein aggregates, detected through urine congophilia, is associated with preeclampsia; however, it has yet to be investigated whether urine congophilia remains postpartum in these women. In this study, we aimed to augment prior studies and determine whether urine congophilia is present postpartum.

Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XGP) is a rare form of chronic pyelonephritis characterized by granulomatous tissue replacing renal parenchyma, primarily in adults. It's often linked to chronic obstruction, urolithiasis, and pyelonephritis, with rare associations with psoas abscess or fistula. A 15-year-old girl, initially treated conservatively for suspected pyelonephritis, underwent CT imaging due to non-response.

Biochemical recurrence following prostate cancer treatment is well-known, with predictable sites typically observed in the prostate bed, lymph nodes, or skeleton. The emergence of PSMA-PET scans has revealed the potential for early recurrence in non-conventional sites, including port site metastases. Our report presents a rare case of abdominal wall metastasis detected 97 months post-prostatectomy.

The treatment of a patient with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is best monitored with standardized and validated tools to measure joint changes over time. Treatment approaches are best indicated if the clinicians are aware of the structural status of the joint at a given time, especially in anatomically deep joints for which clinical assessment is limited. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is of utmost importance for assessment of deep joints and extra-articular soft tissue of the entire body for which ultrasound may be suboptimal.

Penile strangulation from a foreign body is a rare presentation to the emergency department. It must be treated as soon as possible as any delay in management can lead to complications such as gangrene and amputation of the penis. There is no superior standard of care as each case needs to be managed individually depending on clinical findings.

Inguinal bladder hernia (IBH) is an uncommon occurrence in males with a groin mass. It may be present with lower urinary tract symptoms but is often asymptomatic, making it a diagnostic challenge. IBH is frequently an incidental finding during surgery, which increases the risk of iatrogenic injury of the bladder.

Purpose: Immediate autologous breast reconstruction (IABR) offers fewer surgeries with better psychosocial, quality of life and aesthetic outcomes. In high-risk patients or those with locally advanced breast cancer (LABC), adjuvant postmastectomy radiotherapy decreases local recurrence and improves survival. However, it has negative effects on the reconstructed flap.
