Objective: This study aims to explore the correlation between the expression of mutant p53 protein and cellular atypia in early differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma (DGA).
Methods: A total of 107 cases of early DGA samples resected by endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) were collected from the Pathology Department of Beijing Friendship Hospital from January 2018 to December 2019. The EnVision two-step immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of mutant p53 protein in these cancer tissues, and the correlation with cell atypia was analyzed.

Purpose: To compare the survival outcome of neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) (chemotherapy or chemotherapy and intracavitary brachytherapy (ICBT) followed by radical surgery and of concomitant chemotherapy and radiotherapy (CCRT) in patients with locally advanced cervical adenocarcinoma and identify predictors of cervical adenocarcinoma.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed our medical records of cervical adenocarcinoma patients treated with either NAT + surgery or CCRT in our institution from January 2013 to December 2017. The patients were treated with two-dimensional radiotherapy or three-dimensional-conformal or intensity-modulated radiotherapy combined with intracavitary brachytherapy.

Background: There has been limited research on the comparison of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and adenocarcinoma (AC) of cervical cancer and that lack of information may have significant bearing on the treatment of patients. We compared survival outcomes between squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma in locally advanced cervical cancer patients and examined factors related to the prognosis of cervical cancer.
Methods: We identified 4131 patients with stage IB2-IVA cervical cancer patients diagnosed between 2010 and 2015 by using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database.

Background: Autophagy regulation involves an intricate network that can degrade and recycle cytosolic components in autophagosomes when cells are subject to various stress signals. p53 plays a dual role of induction or inhibition in the regulation of autophagy. Recently, pigs have been considered an excellent large animal model for their many anatomical and physiological similarities to humans.

Background: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have emerged as the critical modulators of the tumorigenesis and tumor progression.
Methods: The levels of miR-663 in ovarian cancer cell lines and clinical tissues were detected using qRT-PCR assays. The Transwell invasion and wound healing assay were conducted to assess the roles of miR-663 in the migration and invasion of ovarian cancer cell in vitro.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) bind to the 3'-untranslated region of target mRNAs in a sequence-specific manner and subsequently repress gene translation. Human miR-26a has been studied extensively, but the target transcripts are far from complete. We first employed the CRISPR-Cas9 system to generate an miR-26a-knockout line in human cervical cancer HeLa cells.

Objective: ?To investigate the effect of the estradiol hormones on biofilm formati on and structure of Staphylococcus epidermidis after breast implant surgery.
Methods: ?The concentration of Staphylococcus epidermidis strains ATCC35984 was adjusted to 1×10 CFU/mL or 1×10 CFU/mL, and the type strains were incubated on the surface of silica gel in 125 pmol/L estradiol suspensions to prepare bacterial biofilms model in vitro. After cultured in vitro for 4, 6, 12, 24, 48, and 72 hours, bacteria growth and biofilm formation ability were assessed by means of the XTT and crystal violet staining respectively.

Thymoma is an epithelial neoplasm of the thymus, which commonly lies in the anterior mediastinum and recurrences of thymoma generally are locally, and retroperitoneal recurrence is considered to be rare. A 46-year old Asian woman with invasive thymoma had undergone thymectomy 10 years ago. Computed tomography demonstrated a well-circumscribed mass in the left retroperitoneal space.

Background: Genetic polymorphisms in the 3' untranslated regions (3' UTRs) targeted by miRNAs alter the strength of miRNA binding in a manner that affects the behaviour of individual miRNAs. An insertion (Ins)/deletion (Del) polymorphism (rs3783553) in the 3' UTR of IL-1α may disrupt a binding site for miRNA-122. IL-1α plays an important role in inflammation, immunity and defense against infection.

Indoleamine 2, 3-dioxygenase (IDO) is a rate-limiting enzyme for tryptophan metabolism inducing immune tolerance of tumors. The purpose of this study is to investigate IDO expression and its prognostic significance in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BUC). In this study, immunohistochemical staining for IDO expression in BUC tissues (n = 84) and normal bladder tissues (n = 22) was performed.

Objective: To measure the content of silica in C1 bituminous coal and its combustion products in the high-incidence area of lung cancer in Xuanwei, Yunnan Province, China and to investigate the relationship between high incidence of lung cancer among non-smoking women and silica produced naturally in C1 bituminous coal in Xuan Wei.
Methods: The C1 bituminous coal widely used in the high-incidence area of lung cancer in Xuanwei was selected as experiment group, while the C2+1, K7, and M30 bituminous coal that was mined and used in the low-incidence area of lung cancer in Xuanwei for more than 10 years were selected as control group. Fourteen paraffin-embedded cancer tissue samples from the non-smoking women with non-small cell lung cancer who were born in Xuanwei and were at least the 3rd generation of the family living there were collected from the department of pathology, the third affiliated hospital of kunming medical university (tumor hospital of yunnan province).

Background And Objective: China's Xuan Wei County in Yunnan Province have the world's highest incidence of lung cancer in nonsmoking women-20 times higher than the rest of China. Previous studies showed, this high lung cancer incidence may be associated with the silica particles embedded in the production combustion from the C1 coal. The aim of this study is to separate the silica particles from production combustion from the C1 bituminous coal in Xuan Wei County of Yunnan Province, and study in vitro toxicity of naturally occurring silica particles on BEAS-2B.
