Background: This exploratory case-control study is to evaluate the effects of supplementation of -N-163 strain produced 1,3-1,- 6 beta glucan in young patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
Methods: Twenty-seven male subjects aged 5-19 years with DMD were included, nine in the control arm and 18 in the treatment arm to receive N-163 beta glucan along with conventional therapies for 45 days. While performing the analysis, steroid usage was also taken into consideration, those not administered steroids (Steroid -ve) (Control, n = 5; treatment, n = 9), those administered steroids (Steroid +ve) (Control, n = 4; treatment, n = 9).

Background: There is a high incidence of oral cancer and oral potential malignant disorder observed in southeast Asian countries such as India. Our study aimed to assess the correlation between screening and histopathological diagnosis and to predict the specificity and sensitivity of chair-side/field-based assessment of the oral lesion.
Materials And Methods: A total of 40,852 subjects aged between 20 and 60 years were screened in the 1st phase of the study, suspected lesions were stained with toluidine blue (Manufactured by Otto Chemicals private limited, India) at two time points, those who stained positively during the two points were taken up for biopsy.

Introduction Calcium trisilicate derivatives have widely been used as dentin and enamel substitutes recently. These cements have excellent biological properties, but they do not show fluoride release. The release of fluoride from dental materials is a very important property of a material in restorative applications as fluoride confers antibacterial and anti-cariogenic properties.

Snakebite envenoming (SBE) is common in rural communities living in tropical regions that often have fragile and/or overwhelmed healthcare systems. The complex scenarios around SBE lead to a high number of deaths, disabilities, and long-term consequences in patients. Russell's viper (Daboia russelii) is one of the most medically important snake species in India, which causes devastating pathological conditions characterised by a wide range of clinical manifestations.

Envenomings by Russell's viper ( ), a species of high medical importance in India and other Asian countries, commonly result in hemorrhage, coagulopathies, necrosis, and acute kidney injury. Although bleeding complications are frequently reported following viper envenomings, thrombotic events occur rarely (reported only in coronary and carotid arteries) with serious consequences. For the first time, we report three serious cases of peripheral arterial thrombosis following Russell's viper bites and their diagnostic, clinical management, and mechanistic insights.

Snakebite envenomation causes systemic and local manifestations, which result from the individual or synergistic actions of multiple venom components. The pathological hallmarks of medically important venomous snakes such as the Indian Russell's viper (Daboia russelii) are well known. Envenomation by Russell's viper is typically characterised by coagulopathies, muscular damage, nephrotoxicity, and neurotoxicity.
