It is long been suggested that one-carbon metabolism (OCM) is associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD), whereas the potential mechanisms remain poorly understood. Taking advantage of chemical biology, that mitochondrial serine hydroxymethyltransferase (SHMT2) directly regulated the translation of ADAM metallopeptidase domain 10 (ADAM10), a therapeutic target for AD is reported. That the small-molecule kenpaullone (KEN) promoted ADAM10 translation via the 5' untranslated region (5'UTR) and improved cognitive functions in APP/PS1 mice is found.

Since the 21st century, natural biopolymers have played an indispensable role in long-term global development strategies, and their research has shown a positive growth trend. However, these substantive scientific results are not conducive to our quick grasp of hotspots and insight into future directions and to understanding which local changes have occurred and which trend areas deserve more attention. Therefore, this study provides a new data-driven bibliometric analysis strategy and framework for mining the core content of massive bibliographic data, based on mathematical models VOS Viewer and CiteSpace software, aiming to understand the research prospects and opportunities of natural biopolymers.

Introduction: The effect of incretins including dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitors (DPP4-Is) and glucagon-like peptide1 receptor agonists (GLP1-ras) in the treatment of type 2 diabetes increasing the risk of fracture remains controversial. No meta-analysis has been written to discuss this from the prospective interventional studies. The objective was to evaluate the association between the use of incretins and fracture risk.

The effect of mGlu2/3 receptors on synaptic activities to different types of GABAergic interneurons in the anterior cingulate cortex.

Neuropharmacology

September 2020

Key Lab of Cognition and Personality of the Ministry of Education, Collaborative Innovation Center for Brain Science, School of Psychology, The Southwest University, Chongqing, China. Electronic address:

Antagonists of the group II metabotropic glutamate (mGlu) 2/3 receptors have been shown to have a rapid antidepressant effect. GABAergic interneurons play a crucial role in major depressive disorder (MDD) and possibly mediate the rapid antidepressant effect. However, how mGlu2/3 receptors regulate synaptic activities to GABAergic interneurons is not fully understood.

The herbal-works recorded that the origin production places of Huanglian had gone through dynamic condition of distribution and change. During Pre-Qin and Qin-Han Dynasty, the origin production places of Huanglian were small and limited. During Weijin-Nanbei Dynasty, the origin production places of Huanglian grew in number gradually.
