Intestinal mantle cell lymphoma complicated with intussusception is rare in clinical practice, lacking specific clinical manifestations.CT and colonoscopy are helpful for the diagnosis of this disease, which need to be distinguished from colorectal cancer,Crohn's disease, and other pathological subtypes of lymphoma. The diagnosis still needs to be confirmed by pathological examination.

Objective: As osteoporosis progresses, the primary compressive trabeculae (PCT) in the proximal femur remains preserved and is deemed the principal load-bearing structure that links the femoral head with the femoral neck. This study aims to elucidate the distribution patterns of PCT within the proximal femur in the elderly population, and to assess its implications for the development and optimization of internal fixation devices used in hip fracture surgeries.

Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study conducted from March 2022 to April 2023.

Background: The transplantation of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) has been shown to reduce neointimal hyperplasia following arterial injury. However, the efficacy of this approach is hampered by limited homing of EPCs to the injury site. Additionally, the in vivo recruitment and metabolic activity of transplanted EPCs have not been continuously monitored.

For severe degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis (DLSS), the conventional percutaneous endoscopic translaminar decompression (PEID) has some limitations. The modified PEID, Cross-Overtop decompression, ensures sufficient decompression without excessive damage to the facet joints and posterior complex integrity. To evaluate the biomechanical properties of Cross-Overtop and provide practical case validation for final decision-making in severe DLSS treatment.

Mammalian lung is the important organ for ventilation and exchange of air and blood. Fresh air and venous blood are constantly delivered through the airway and vascular tree to the alveolus. Based on this, the airways and alveolis are persistently exposed to the external environment and are easily suffered from toxins, irritants and pathogens.

In articular cartilage defect, particularly in arthroscopy, regenerative hydrogels are urgently needed. It should be able to firmly adhere to the cartilage tissue and maintain sufficient mechanical strength to withstand approximately 10 kPa of arthroscopic hydraulic flushing. In this study, we report a carbene-mediated ultra adhesive hybrid hydrogel paints for arthroscopic cartilage repair, which combined the photo initiation of double crosslinking system with the addition of diatomite, as a further reinforcing agent and biological inorganic substances.

Objective: To develop an intelligent model for differential diagnosis of atrioventricular nodal re-entrant tachycardia (AVNRT) and atrioventricular re-entrant tachycardia (AVRT) using 12-lead wearable electrocardiogram devices.

Methods: A total of 356 samples of 12-lead supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) electrocardiograms recorded by wearable devices were randomly divided into training and validation sets using 5-fold cross validation to establish the intelligent classification model, and 101 patients with the diagnosis of SVT undergoing electrophysiological studies and radiofrequency ablation from October, 2021 to March, 2023 were selected as the testing set. The changes in electrocardiogram parameters before and during induced tachycardia were compared.

Article Synopsis
  • IBD is a chronic intestinal inflammatory disease linked to circulating leukocytes, but the direct relationship is unclear.
  • The study utilized Mendelian randomization and sourced GWAS data to analyze leukocyte counts and their association with IBD risk.
  • Results indicated that higher monocyte counts are protective against IBD, while increased neutrophil counts raise the risk, confirming the critical role of leukocytes in IBD and suggesting new avenues for prevention and treatment.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death worldwide. We identified a specific long non-coding RNA (LncRNA), LINC00908, which was downregulated in LUAD tissues and associated with good outcome. LINC00908 inhibited glycolysis by regulating the expression of the DEAD-box helicase 54 (DDX54), which was screened by a nine-gene risk signature, where DDX54 showed a positive correlation with several glycolysis-related genes.

This review aims to explore the current application of Cranial Ultrasound Screening (CUS) in the diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases in extremely preterm infants. It also discusses the potential role of emerging ultrasound-derived technologies such as Super Microvascular Structure Imaging (SMI), Shear Wave Elastography (SWE), Ultrafast Doppler Ultrasound (UfD), and 3D ventricular volume assessment and automated segmentation techniques in clinical practice. A systematic search of medical databases was conducted using the keywords "(preterm OR extremely preterm OR extremely low birth weight) AND (ultrasound OR ultrasound imaging) AND (neurodevelopment OR brain development OR brain diseases OR brain injury OR neuro*)" to identify relevant literature.

Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is closely associated with the triglyceride glucose (TyG) index and its related indicators, particularly its combination with obesity indices. However, there is limited research on the relationship between changes in TyG-related indices and CVD, as most studies have focused on baseline TyG-related indices.

Methods: The data for this prospective cohort study were obtained from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study.

The long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) Small Nucleolar RNA Host Gene 4 (SNHG4) has been demonstrated to be significantly downregulated in various inflammatory conditions, yet its role in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) remains elusive. This study aims to elucidate the biological function of SNHG4 in COPD and to unveil its potential molecular targets. Our findings reveal that both SNHG4 and Four and a Half LIM Domains 1 (FHL1) were markedly downregulated in COPD, whereas microRNA-409-3p (miR-409-3p) was upregulated.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a serious type of sleep disorder that can lead to cardiometabolic and neurocognitive diseases. We utilized smart device-based photoplethysmography technology to collect sleep data from the Chinese population from 2019 to 2022. Distributed lag nonlinear models combined with a generalized nonlinear model or a linear mixed effects model were used to investigate the short-term associations between daily temperature and indicators of OSA severity.
