Case Report: Genetic and immune microenvironmental characteristics of a rectal cancer patient with MSS/PD-L1-negative recurrent hepatopulmonary metastasis who achieved complete remission after treatment with PD-1 inhibitor.

Currently, microsatellite high instability (MSI-H)/mismatch repair protein deletion (dMMR) has become a crucial biomarker for utilizing immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with advanced colorectal cancer (mCRC). However, the proportion of MSI-H/dMMR in advanced patients is only about 5% and mCRC patients with microsatellite stability (MSS)/proficient mismatch repair (pMMR) exhibit poor responses to immunotherapy. Although diverse immune combination therapy regimens have been examined in patients with advanced colorectal cancer who demonstrate MSS/pMMR, these approaches have not yielded favorable efficacy and only a limited proportion of patients have benefited, especially for advanced colorectal cancer patients with liver metastases.

Background: Post-stroke depression (PSD) was one of the most prevalent and serious neuropsychiatric effects after stroke. Nevertheless, the association between liver function test indices and PSD remains elusive, and there is a lack of effective prediction tools. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the liver function test indices and PSD, and construct a prediction model for PSD.

Methods: COVID-19 patients' information were collected for analysis in our retrospective study. Neutrophil count and procalcitonin (PCT) were used to estimate whether there was a suspected bacterial co-infection.

Background: To compare the severity of radiation-induced lung injury (RILI) after the right lung of SD rats received interstitial brachytherapy and stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT).

Methods: RILI rat model was established using interstitial brachytherapy and SBRT methods, respectively. CT scan was performed to analyze the lung volume and the CT value difference between the left and right lungs in rats.

Cost-effectiveness analysis of ultra-hypofractionated radiotherapy and conventionally fractionated radiotherapy for intermediate- to high-risk localized prostate cancer.

Background: Radiotherapy is an effective curative treatment option for intermediate- to high-risk localized prostate cancer. According to the HYPO-RT-PC trial (ISRCTN45905321), there was no significant difference in 5 years of follow-up in terms of failure-free survival, overall survival, urinary toxicity, and bowel toxicity, while erectile function decreased between ultra-hypofractionated radiotherapy with conventionally fractionated radiotherapy, except that the incidence of urinary toxicity in ultra-hypofractionated radiotherapy was higher at 1 year of follow-up. We evaluated the cost-effectiveness of ultra-hypofractionated radiotherapy and conventionally fractionated radiotherapy for intermediate- to high-risk localized prostate cancer from the Chinese payer's perspective.

Based on the suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1)/Janus kinase (JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) pathway, the mechanism of oxymatrine in the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD) was preliminarily explored in this study. C57BL/6 mice were induced to establish AD model by smearing carbotriol (MC903) on their back. The AD mice were randomly divided into model group, oxymatrine groups with three dosages (25, 50 and 100 mg/kg), ( = 10).

Predictive model of hypoxemia after shoulder arthroscopy: A retrospective observational study.

The study is aimed to establish a predictive model of hypoxemia after shoulder arthroscopy. The predictive model was based on a retrospective study with 756 patients who underwent shoulder arthroscopic surgery in Sichuan Orthopaedic Hospital from June 2019 to December 2020. Independent risk factors of hypoxemia in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) were screened out by the binary logistics regression and the primary predictive model was completed, which was evaluated by the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test.

The function of human dicarbonyl/L‑xylulose reductase (DCXR) in the pathophysiology of breast cancer is yet to be elucidated. The present study aimed to investigate the function of DCXR in glycolysis and the cell cycle of breast cancer cells with respect to cell proliferation. Differential expressed DCXR was identified in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database and verified in clinical breast cancer tissue.

CRISP method with flipped classroom approach in ECG teaching of arrhythmia for trainee nurses: a randomized controlled study.

Background: This study aimed to explored the effects of the Cardiac Rhythm Identification for Simple People (CRISP) method with flipped classroom approach for arrhythmia interpretation in electrocardiogram (ECG) by trainee nurses.

Methods: A total of 120 trainee nurses were enrolled and randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group using lecture-based learning method. We observed the effects of the two methods in ECG interpretation training and investigated the students' attitudes toward the teaching practices.
