Aims: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is characterized by unexplained left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) with key pathologic processes including myocardial necrosis, fibrosis, inflammation, and hypertrophy, which are involved in heart failure (HF), stroke, and even sudden death. Our aim was to explore the communication network among various cells in the heart of transverse aortic constriction (TAC) surgery induced HCM mice.
Materials And Methods: Single-cell RNA-seq data of GSE137167 was downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database.
Objective: There are limited epidemiological data on myocarditis in children aged 0-14 years. This study aims to investigate the trends in incidence, mortality, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), and corresponding estimated annual percentage change (EAPC) of myocarditis in children aged 0-14 years from 1990 to 2021.
Methods: We utilized the 2021 Global Burden of Disease, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study (GBD) analytical tools to examine the incidence, mortality, and DALYs of myocarditis in children aged 0-14 years, considering factors such as age, sex, region, sociodemographic index (SDI), and data from 204 countries or regions.

Vascular regeneration plays a vital role in tissue repair yet is drastically impaired in those with a spinal cord injury (SCI). Pericytes are of great significance as they are entwined with vessel-specific endothelial cells and actively contribute to maintaining the spinal cord's vascular network. Within the neurovascular unit (NVU), subtypes of pericytes characterized by various markers such as PDGFR-β, Desmin, CD146, and NG-2 are involved in vascular regeneration in SCI repair.

Recovery from spinal cord injury (SCI) is often impeded by neuroinflammation, scar formation, and limited axonal regeneration. To tackle these issues, we developed an innovative biomimetic drug delivery system using liquid nitrogen-treated M2 macrophages (LNT M2) which internalized paclitaxel (PTX) nanoparticles beforehand. These were incorporated into a gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) scaffold, creating a multifunctional, injectable treatment for single-dose administration.

Methods: A cross-sectional analysis was conducted between January 2021 and August 2022, involving 235 children with a clinical diagnosis of short stature at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University (short stature group) and 454 children with average height (±1 SD) from the same period (healthy group). X-ray repair cross-complementing 2 (XRCC2), a critical protein in homologous recombination (HR), plays a significant role in the occurrence, progression, and drug resistance of colorectal cancer (CRC). In this study, a series of xanthohumol C derivatives were synthesized, and their anticancer activity was evaluated. The results revealed that A33 demonstrated the potent anticancer activity and effectively inhibited the proliferation of CRC cells in vitro.
