miR-138 expression in oral herpes simplex and its effect on ICP0.

This study aimed to investigate the micro ribonucleic acid-138 (miR-138) expression in oral herpes simplex (HS) and its effect on the expression of herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) lytic gene -acting factor infected cell protein 0 (ICP0). Forty-five rat models with oral HS were successfully established (the observation group) and another 40 healthy rats were selected as the control group. The miR-138 expression in serum of rats in the two groups were detected by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR).
