Wearing-off Identification in Parkinson's Disease: The shapd-woq Study.

Front Neurol

March 2020

Department of Neurology, Xinhua Hospital, Affiliated to Shanghai JiaoTong University, School of Medicine, Shanghai, China.

To clarify the frequency of wearing-off phenomenon (WO) and the validity of the Chinese version of the 9-item wearing-off questionnaire (CWOQ-9) in WO identification in this large population. Parkinson's patients treated with antiparkinsonian medications were consecutively recruited into this observational, cross-sectional investigation. Patients completed the CWOQ-9 prior to the independent clinician assessment.

Rapid repair of vascular injury is an important prognostic factor for electrical burns. This repair is achieved mainly via stromal cell-derived factor (SDF)-1α promoting the mobilization, chemotaxis, homing, and targeted differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) into endothelial cells. Forming a concentration gradient from the site of local damage in the circulation is essential to the role of SDF-1α.

The Variation of Hemodynamic Parameters Through PiCCO in the Early Stage After Severe Burns.

J Burn Care Res

July 2018

From the *Department of Burn Surgery, The Second Military Medical University affiliated Changhai Hospital, Shanghai, China; †Department of Plastic Surgery, The First People's Hospital of Zhengzhou, Zhengzhou, Henan, China; ‡No. 73901 Troop of PLA, Shanghai, China; and §No. 72510 Troop of PLA, Zhanjiang, China.

To investigate early hemodynamics of severely burned patients via PiCCO and to discuss clinical significance of hemodynamic monitoring for burn shock resuscitation, 55 extensive burn patients were enrolled in this retrospective study. The fluid resuscitation was guided according to Chinese General Formula and adjusted with urinary output of 0.5-1.

This study evaluated the protective effects of inhibiting caspase-1 activity or gastric acid secretion on acute gastric injury in mice. AC-YVAD-CMK, omeprazole, or vehicle were administered to mice before cold-restraint stress- or ethanol-induced gastric injury. Survival rates and histological evidence of gastric injury of mice pretreated with AC-YVAD-CMK or omeprazole, and exposed to cold-restraint stress, improved significantly relative to the vehicle group.

Objective: To accelerate wound healing through promoting vascularization by using reactive oxygen species (ROS)-responsive nanoparticles loaded with stromal cell-derived factor-1α(SDF-1α).

Methods: The ROS-reactive nanomaterial poly-(1,4-phenyleneacetone dimethylene thioketal) was synthesized, and its physical and chemical properties were characterized. ROS-responsive nanoparticles containing SDF-1α were prepared through a multiple emulsion solvent evaporation method.

Background: Microskin autografts with conventional wrap and compression are used extensively in the treatment of skin and tissue defects. This comparative study aimed at investigation of the clinical application of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) in combination with microskin autografts for repair of acute and chronic wounds.

Methods: A prospective case-control study was performed from December 1, 2010-December 31, 2013 in Changhai Hospital, Shanghai.

Inflammatory response and oxidative stress are considered to play an important role in the development of acute liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) and galactosamine (GalN)/lipopolysaccharides (LPS). Esculentoside A (EsA), isolated from the Chinese herb phytolacca esculenta, has the effect of modulating immune response, cell proliferation and apoptosis as well as anti-inflammatory effects. The present study is to evaluate the protective effect of EsA on CCl4 and GalN/LPS-induced acute liver injury.

Background: The prognosis of gastric cancer patients is difficult to predict because of defects in establishing the surgical-pathological features. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) have been found to play prominent role in promoting tumor growth, invasion and metastasis. Thus raises the hypothesis that the extent of CAFs prevalence may help to establish the prognosis of gastric cancer patients.

Background: To observe the effects of photodynamic therapy (PDT) on human lung adenocarcinoma cell line A549 in vitro.

Methods: Human lung adenocarcinoma cell line A549 was used to investigate the killing role of PDT with hematoporphyrin derivative (HPD) as photosensitizer and semiconductor successive laser as light source. The cultured cell was treated with different concentrations of HPD and different do-sages of laser, then MTT colorometric assay was applied to measure the OD492.
