[Prognostic Value of CD56 Expression in Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma Patients and Its Related Factors].

Objective: To analyze the effect of CD56 expression on the prognosis of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) patients and explore the relationship between CD56 with clinical characteristics.

Methods: In this retrospective study, the clinical data and laboratory parameters of 175 newly diagnosed MM patients from February 2015 to December 2020 in the Second Hospital of Anhui Medical University were collected. The patients were divided into CD56 and CD56 groups based on the expression of CD56, and the general data and laboratory parameters of the two groups were compared.

[Expression and Clinical Significance of Exosome Derived MiR-181b-5p in Children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia].

Background: Fear of cancer recurrence (FCR) and psychological distress are common psychological problems in breast cancer (BC) patients and ultimately affecting their health-related quality of life (HRQoL). Heart rate variability (HRV) can reflect the activity of the parasympathetic nervous system. However, the pathways through which HRV influences between FCR and HRQoL are unclear.

Interim survival analysis of the randomized phase III GEMSTONE-302 trial: sugemalimab or placebo plus chemotherapy as first-line treatment for metastatic NSCLC.

The randomized, double-blinded, multi-center, phase III GEMSTONE-302 ( NCT03789604 ) study evaluated the efficacy and safety of sugemalimab versus placebo in combination with chemotherapy as first-line treatment for metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In this study, 479 treatment-naive patients with stage IV squamous or non-squamous NSCLC without known EGFR sensitizing mutations, ALK, ROS1 or RET fusions were randomized (2:1) to receive 1,200 mg of sugemalimab (n = 320) or placebo (n = 159) every 3 weeks in combination with platinum-based chemotherapy for up to four cycles, followed by maintenance therapy with sugemalimab or placebo for squamous NSCLC and sugemalimab or placebo plus pemetrexed for non-squamous NSCLC. Placebo-treated patients could cross over to receive sugemalimab monotherapy on disease progression.

Amelioratory effects of astragaloside IV on hepatocarcinogenesis via Nrf2-mediated pSmad3C/3L transformation.

Background: Phosphorylated Smad3 isoforms are reversible and antagonistic, and the tumour-suppressive pSmad3C can shift to an oncogenic pSmad3L signal. In addition, Nrf2 has a two-way regulatory effect on tumours, protecting normal cells from carcinogens and promoting tumour cell survival in chemotherapeutics. Accordingly, we hypothesised that the transformation of pSmad3C/3L is the basis for Nrf2 to produce both pro- and/or anti-tumourigenic effects in hepatocarcinogenesis.

Background: Mechanical digit sensory stimulation (MDSS) is a novel therapy designed to accelerate the recovery of upper limb (including hand) function in patients with hemiplegia following a stroke. The primary goal of this study was to investigate the effect of MDSS on patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS).

Methods: Sixty-one inpatients with AIS were randomly divided into conventional rehabilitation group (RG) and stimulation group (SG), and the latter group received MDSS therapy.

Methods: Eligible patients from the previous phase I and phase IIb studies of rezivertinib were included for pooled analysis. Post-progressive patients who received a prescribed dosage (≥180 mg) of rezivertinib orally once daily were included in full analysis set (FAS), while those with stable, asymptomatic CNS lesions, including measurable and non-measurable ones at baseline were included in CNS full analysis set (cFAS).

Overall, 96 postoperative prostate cancer patients admitted to our hospital between November 2019 and May 2021 were retrospectively analyzed and classified into an observation group and a control group with 48 patients each, according to the management model they received.
