[Multidimensional supportive psychological intervention in clinical practice teaching of andrological nursing].

Objective: To examine the application of a novel pedagogical approach multidimensional supportive psychological intervention (MSPI) in the clinical practice teaching of andrological nursing care.

Methods: Using the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), we assessed the psychology of 100 nursing interns about to enter clinical practice in the Department of Andrology from December 2021 to December 2022. We equally randomized the subjects into an experimental and a control group, the former receiving MSPI and the latter trained on the conventional teaching model without any psychological support intervention.

To investigate the perioperative outcomes of patients who underwent robot-assisted thoracoscopic (RATS) segmentectomy for identifying the intersegmental plane (ISP) by improved modified inflation-deflation (MID) combined with near-infrared fluorescence imaging with the intravenous indocyanine green (ICG) method and to assess the feasibility of this method in a large-scale cohort according to the type of segmentectomy performed. Ferroptosis is a form of programmed cell death characterized by intracellular iron accumulation and lipid peroxidation, and earlier studies identified glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) as an essential regulator of this process. The effects of long-term nitrate therapy are compromised due to protein S-Nitrosylation, which is mediated by nitric oxide (NO). This study investigated survival in selected Chinese patients with advanced lung adenocarcinoma who received initial chemotherapy with pemetrexed. We retrospectively collected patients ( = 1,047) enrolled in the Chinese Patient Assistance Program from multiple centers who received pemetrexed alone or combined with platinum as initial chemotherapy and continued pemetrexed maintenance therapy for advanced lung adenocarcinoma from November 2014 to June 2017.

Premature ejaculation is a common male sexual dysfunction disorder, and there are many controversies over its definition. With deeper insights into the etiology and pathogenesis of premature ejaculation, more and more auxiliary examinations are used in its diagnosis, prognostic evaluation and treatment, such as transrectal ultrasonography of seminal vesicles, determination of serum 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) concentration, serum hormone levels, penile sensitivity detection, brain function tests, and genetic sequencing. This review outlines the latest advances in the auxiliary examination of premature ejaculation and provides clinicians with some diagnostic indexes or methods of premature ejaculation for reference.

The Outcomes of Subxiphoid Thoracoscopic Versus Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery for Thymic Diseases.

Data for 107 consecutive adult patients who underwent transthoracic or subxiphoid video-assisted thoracic surgery for thymic diseases from July 2015 to February 2019 were retrospectively reviewed.

Surgical Treatment of Bronchiectasis: 5 Years of Experience at a Single Institution.

The aim of this retrospective study was to present our surgical experience in patients with bronchiectasis who underwent thoracoscopy and to compare the results with those of patients who underwent thoracotomy. We analyzed the medical records of patients who underwent lung resection to treat bronchiectasis through video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) or open lung resection between November 2012 and November 2017. In total, 99 patients were enrolled.

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease that often causes patients to experience joint pain and deformity. It has been demonstrated that tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α is associated with the progression of osteoarthritis; however, to the best of our knowledge, the mechanisms by which TNF-α simulates the progression of osteoarthritis and the signaling pathway(s) it influences remain unknown. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the therapeutic effects of TNF-α inhibitor in an iodoacetate-induced rat model of osteoarthritis and identify its potential mechanisms of action.
