Background: With the increasing burden of dental diseases and the limited availability of healthcare resources, traditional triage methods are inadequate in efficiently utilizing healthcare resources and meeting patient needs. The aim of this study is to develop an advanced triage system that combines oral radiomics and biological multi-omics data, which enables accurate departmental referral of patients by automatically interpreting biological information in oral X-ray images.
Methods: Using a multi-label learning algorithm, we analyzed multi-omics data from 3,942 patients with oral diseases from three cohorts between July 1, 2023 and August 18, 2023, and continuously monitored classification accuracy (ACC) metrics.

The accumulation of lactate is a rising risk factor for patients after flap transplantation. Endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndoMT) plays a critical role in skin fibrosis. Nevertheless, whether lactate overproduction directly contributes to flap necrosis and its mechanism remain unknown.

In recent years, digital dentistry has increasingly utilized advanced image analysis techniques, such as image classification and disease diagnosis, to improve clinical outcomes. Despite these advances, the lack of comprehensive benchmark datasets is a significant barrier. To address this gap, our research team develop LMCD-OR, a substantial collection of oral radiograph images designed to support extensive artificial intelligence (AI)-driven diagnostics.

Cirrhosis represents a significant global health challenge, characterized by high morbidity and mortality rates that severely impact human health. Timely and precise prognostic assessments of liver cirrhosis are crucial for improving patient outcomes and reducing mortality rates as they enable physicians to identify high-risk patients and implement early interventions. This paper features a thorough literature review on the prognostic assessment of liver cirrhosis, aiming to summarize and delineate the present status and constraints associated with the application of traditional prognostic tools in clinical settings.

Background: Aberrant differentiation of Th17 cells has been identified as a critical factor in the development of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). BLIMP1 plays a key role in regulating plasma cell differentiation, T helper cell differentiation and Treg cell differentiation. Treatment with exosome injection or bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) transplantation reduce joint damage in RA.

Introduction: We aimed to investigate the association between perinatal outcomes and placental pathological features in pregnant women with ACTD, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS), and undifferentiated connective tissue disease (UCTD).
Materials And Methods: Placental tissue from SLE (n = 44), APS (n = 45), and UCTD (n = 45) were included, and contemporaneous deliveries of placenta were served as a control group (n = 46) between September 2015 and March 2021. The placental histopathology was evaluated using the Manual of Human Placental Pathology and classified according to the Amsterdam consensus framework.

Background And Objective: Ferroptosis, a form of programmed cell death driven by lipid peroxidation and dependent on iron ions, unfolds through a sophisticated interplay of multiple biological processes. These include perturbations in iron metabolism, lipid peroxidation, aberrant amino acid metabolism, disruptions in hypoxia-inducible factor-prolyl hydroxylase (HIF-PHD) axis, and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. Recent studies indicate that ferroptosis may serve as a promising therapeutic target for hypoxia-associated brain injury such as hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD) and cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI).

: Following spinal cord injury (SCI), autophagy plays a positive role in neuronal protection, whereas pyroptosis triggers an inflammatory response. Ginsenoside-Rh2 (GRh2), known for its neuroprotective effects, is considered a promising drug. However, the exact molecular mechanisms underlying these protective effects remain unclear.

Lysosomes play a crucial role in various intracellular pathways as their final destination. Various stressors, whether mild or severe, can induce lysosomal membrane permeabilization (LMP), resulting in the release of lysosomal enzymes into the cytoplasm. LMP not only plays a pivotal role in various cellular events but also significantly contributes to programmed cell death (PCD).

In the realm of large-area trauma flap transplantation, averting ischaemic necrosis emerges as a pivotal concern. Several key mechanisms, including the promotion of angiogenesis, the inhibition of oxidative stress, the suppression of cell death, and the mitigation of inflammation, are crucial for enhancing skin flap survival. Apoptotic bodies (ABs), arising from cell apoptosis, have recently emerged as significant contributors to these functions.

Background: Ensuring the survival of the distal end of a random flap during hypoperfusion (ischaemia) is difficult in clinical practice. Effective prevention of programmed cell death is a potential strategy for inhibiting ischaemic flap necrosis. The activation of stimulator of interferon genes (STING) pathway promotes inflammation and leads to cell death.

Preventing and treating avascular necrosis at the distal end of the flaps are critical to surgery success, but current treatments are not ideal. A recent study shows that apoptotic bodies (ABs) generated near the site of apoptosis can be taken up and promote cell proliferation. The study reveals that ABs derived from fibroblast-like cells in the subcutaneous connective tissue (FSCT cells) of skin flaps promoted ischaemic flap survival.

Avascular necrosis frequently occurs as a complication following surgery involving the distal perforator flap. Dihydrocapsaicin (DHC) can protect tissue from ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury, but its specific role in multizone perforator flaps remains unclear. In this study, the prospective target of DHC in the context of I/R injury was predicted using network pharmacology analysis.

It is urgent to identify novel early diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets for non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which accounts for 85% of lung cancer cases and has a 5-year survival rate of 4-17%. Here, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) was used to identify DNA‒protein interactions, RNA methylation was determined by methylated RNA immunoprecipitation (MeRIP), RNA stability was tested by an RNA decay assay. We showed that RAD21, a member of the cohesin complex, is upregulated in NSCLC tissues and cell lines and found to be an independent prognostic factor for overall survival (OS) of NSCLC patients.

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a severe medical condition with lasting effects. The efficacy of numerous clinical treatments is hampered by the intricate pathophysiological mechanism of SCI. Fibroblast growth factor 18 (FGF-18) has been found to exert neuroprotective effects after brain ischaemia, but its effect after SCI has not been well explored.

Spinal cord injury is a challenge in orthopedics because it causes irreversible damage to the central nervous system. Therefore, early treatment to prevent lesion expansion is crucial for the management of patients with spinal cord injury. Bexarotene, a type of retinoid, exerts therapeutic effects on patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and Parkinson's disease.

Hu'po Anshen decoction (HPASD), a traditional Chinese medicine used to treat concussion and fracture, could regulate the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2). However, whether HPASD affects the fracture healing of traumatic brain injury (TBI) combined with a fracture through BMP2 and its downstream signals remains obscure. The chondrocyte-specific BMP2 conditional knockout mice and chondrocyte-specific cyclooxygenase-2 (COX2) overexpression mice were generated.
