[Effects of penetration needling from "Zhibian" (BL54) to "Shuidao" (ST28) on SIRT1/PGC-1α/Nrf2 signaling pathway in rats with premature ovarian insufficiency].

Objectives: To observe the effect of penetration needling from "Zhibian" (BL54) to "Shuidao"(ST28) on silencing information regulator 1 (SIRT1) /peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ co-activator 1α (PGC-1α) /nuclear factor E2 related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling in rats with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of POI.

Methods: A total of 48 female SD rats were equally and randomly allocated to blank control, POI model, shallow needling and penetration needling (from "Zhibian" ［BL54］ to "Shuidao" ［ST28］) groups. The POI model was established by intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide (50 mg·kg·d on the 1 day and 8 mg·kg·d from the 2 to 15 day, for a total of 15 days).

[Effect of acupuncture at "Houxi" (SI3) and"Huantiao" (GB30) on high mobility group box 1 protein in spinal nerve trunk of rats with lumbar disc herniation].

Objective: To observe the effect of acupuncture at "Houxi"(SI3) and "Huantiao"(GB30) on high mobility group box 1(HMGB1) protein and mRNA in spinal nerve trunk(SNT) of rats with lumbar disc herniation(LDH), so as to explore the mechanisms of acupuncture at this paired points on the treatment for LDH.

Methods: SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation, model, conventional acupuncture(CA) and paired points(PP) groups (with 8 rats in each group). The LDH model was established by injection of autologous suspension made from rats' own nucleus pulsus into the epidural space.

[Effect of penetrative needling of "Zhibian" (BL54) through "Shuidao" (ST28) on expression of TRAIL and its receptors in rats with premature ovarian insufficiency].

Objective: To observe the effect of penetrative needling of "Zhibian" (BL54) through "Shuidao" (ST28) on the expressions of death receptor pathway-related protein tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) and its receptors, as death receptor 4 (DR4), death receptor 5 (DR5), decoy receptor 1 (DcR1) and decoy receptor 2 (DcR2) in premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) rats, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of POI.

Methods: Forty female SD rats were randomly divided into blank control, model, penetrative needling and medication (estradiol valerate) groups, with 10 rats in each group. The POI model was established by intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide (D1: 50 mg·kg·d, D2 to D15: 8 mg·kg·d, for a total of 15 d).
