Dual-mode readout platforms with colorimetric and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) signal enhancement are proposed for the ultrasensitive and flexible detection of the monkeypox virus (MPXV) in different scenes. A new nanotag, Ru@U6-Ru/Pt NPs is constructed for dual-mode platforms by integrating double-layered ECL luminophores and the nanozyme using Zr-MOF (UiO-66-NH) as the carrier, which not only generates enhanced ECL and colorimetric signals but also provide greater stability than that of commonly used nanotags. Dual-mode platforms are used within 15 min from the "sample in" to the "result out" steps, without nucleic acid amplification.

Methods: This nationwide, multicenter, retrospective study, conducted between 2012 and 2014, analyzed 25,927 cases of suspected DILI at 308 medical centers using the inpatient medical register system.

In this DAS panel, we examined 941 drug-resistant mutations associated with 20 anti-tuberculosis drugs with an initial amount of 4 pg DNA and reduced clinical testing time from 20 days to two days.

Monkeypox cases continue to increase globally, and there is an urgent need to develop a highly effective vaccine against monkeypox. This study investigated the binding and authentic-virus neutralizing activities of sera from mice immunized with EEV (extracellularly enveloped viruses) antigens B6R and A35R, and IMV (intrinsic material viruses) antigens M1R, A29L, E8L, and H3L against monkeypox virus. The results showed that immunizations of A35R and E8L could only induce lower titers of binding antibodies, in contrast, immunization of M1R induced the highest titers of binding antibodies, while immunization of B6R, H3L, and A29L induced moderate titers of binding antibodies.

The progress of viral infection involves numerous transcriptional regulatory events. Antiretroviral therapy (ART) has significantly enhanced the outlook for people with HIV(PWH), yet certain ART medications can adversely affect the renal function of these patients. Of particular concern is the nephrotoxicity associated with tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF). Compared to TDF, tenofovir alafenamide (TAF), another prodrug of tenofovir (TFV), results in lower TFV plasma levels, thereby alleviating the TFV-associated mitochondrial toxicity on proximal renal tubular cells.
