Recent studies have shown that lycorine, a natural alkaloid compound, plays its anti-cancer role in several human malignancies including bladder cancer. However, the molecular mechanism of lycorine-induced antitumor activity has not been sufficiently investigated. The E3 ubiquitin ligase neural precursor cell expressed developmentally downregulated protein 4 (NEDD4, also known as NEDD4-1) plays a crucial role in tumorigenesis and progression of human cancer.

Purpose: To investigate the role of an autophagy/lysosome pathway in NF-κB pathway blocked pancreatic cancer Panc-1 cells.
Methods: The inhibitory effects of SN50 on pancreatic cancer cell line Panc-1 were detected by MTT assay. After SN50 treatment, autophagy activation was observed by MDC staining and transmission electron microscope (TEM).

The possibility of using silk fibroin in biomaterials for tissue engineering is a subject of broad interest. In this study, /tussah silk fibroin (BSF/TSF) blend films were prepared by solution casting using CaCl/formic acid as a co-solvent and water as a rinse solvent. The morphology, crystallinity, thermal resistance, mechanical properties and water contact angle of the blend films as well as the biocompatibility were investigated.

Pituitary adenomas (PAs) are noncancerous tumors, and about 35% of those reported to be invasive have been classified as "invasive pituitary adenomas (IPAs)". In clinical, operative complications, total resection failures, and high relapse rates result from invasive features during the therapeutic process. Invasive mechanism is a complex process, including metalloproteases, inhibitors and tumor microenvironment factors etc.
