Escherichia coli Nissle 1917 (EcN) is a unique probiotic utilized to treat inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome. Outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) from EcN can not only deliver pro-biotic anti-inflammatory molecules to cancer cells to exert anti-rectal cancer effects, but also deliver therapeutic drugs, genes, and other "cargoes" encapsulated in the vesicles to specific cells, making them an ideal vehicle for drug delivery. In this study, we successfully isolated OMVs of probiotic origin and obtained BCN-OMVs by encapsulating baicalin (BCN) in EcN-OMVs.

As an important innate immune cell in the body, macrophages have a strong ability to phagocytic tumor cells and maintain the innate immune response. Tumor-associated macrophages play a more prominent role in regulating tumor immunity and are currently an important target of antitumor immunity. As a new type of antitumor therapy, tumor immunotherapy has great potential, combined chemotherapy, targeting and other therapeutic means can significantly enhance the antitumor therapy effect.

PANoptosis is a newly identified inflammatory programmed cell death (PCD) that involves the interplay of apoptosis, necrosis, and pyroptosis. However, its overall biological effects cannot be attributed to any one type of PCD alone. PANoptosis is regulated by a signaling cascade triggered by the recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) by various sensors.

Bacteriophage therapy is emerging as a promising alternative to combat drug-resistant bacterial infections. In this study, a lytic phage, HZY2308, was isolated from hospital sewage, and the biological properties, biosafety and anti-biofilm properties of phage HZY2308 were characterized and identified.

Quercetin, a natural plant flavonoid, shows promise in reducing miscarriage rates, yet its precise mechanism remains elusive. This study uses network pharmacology, molecular docking, and experimental validation to explore the molecular pathways through which quercetin mitigates RSA.

Recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) has a complex pathogenesis with an increasing prevalence and is one of the most intractable clinical challenges in the field of reproductive medicine. Quercetin (QCT) is an effective active ingredient extracted from Semen Cuscutae and Herba Taxilli used in traditional Chinese medicine for tonifyng the kidneys and promoting fetal restoration. Although QCT helps improve adverse pregnancy outcomes, the specific mechanism remains unclear.

The management of () infections presents a substantial challenge to clinics and public health, emphasizing the urgent need for innovative strategies to address this issue. Quorum sensing (QS) is an intercellular communication mechanism that coordinates bacterial activities involved in various virulence mechanisms, such as acquiring host nutrients, facilitating biofilm formation, enhancing motility, secreting virulence factors, and evading host immune responses, all of which play a crucial role in the colonization and infection of . The LasI/R and RhlI/R sub-systems dominate in the QS system of .

Objective: To analyze the main active components and potential molecular mechanism of Yishen Tongluo Prescription (YTP) in the treatment of male infertility based on network pharmacological technology.
Methods: We searched and sorted the main active components of YTP and their individual potential targets in the databases of Systematic Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Bioinformatics Analysis Tool of the Molecular Mechanism of TCM, and screened the targets related to male infertility diseases in the databases of Genecards, DisGeNET and OMIM. We made a Venn diagram by intersecting the predicted targets of YTP and those of male infertility diseases, constructed visualized networks for the association of the intersection targets and protein-protein interaction (PPI) using the Cytoscape software and STRING platform respectively, and conducted gene ontology (GO) and KEGG enrichment analyses using the DAVID database and R language "Cluster Profiler" software package respectively.
The intervention effect of astragaloside Ⅳ(AS-Ⅳ) on atherosclerosis in apolipoprotein E gene knockout(ApoE)~(-/-) mice was observed based on the nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2(Nrf2)/heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)/glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4) signaling pathway to explore the potential mechanism of AS-Ⅳ in improving ferroptosis in atherosclerotic mice. This study established an atherosclerosis mouse model by feeding them a high-fat diet. After modeling for 8 weeks, ApoE~(-/-) mice were randomly divided into the model group, AS-Ⅳ group, AS-Ⅳ+Nrf2 inhibitor(ML385) group, and ferrostatin-1(Fer-1) group.
