Ovarian cancer is one of the most lethal and drug-resistant gynecological diseases. Among the various post-transcriptional RNA modifications, N6-methyladenosine (m6A) has been implicated in several malignancies, including breast cancer. Recently, the biological significance of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) methylation has garnered significant attention.

The incidence and factors related to mobile phone addiction among Chinese medical students were analyzed through meta-analysis. Chinese literature databases (such as China Knowledge Network and VIP Information Resource System) and English literature databases (such as PubMed and Web of Science) were searched for cross-sectional studies on the incidence and factors related to mobile phone addiction, and the required data were extracted. Meta-analysis was performed using a random effects model with RevMan 5.

Objective: To explore the effect of folic acid deficiency on genetic damage and mRNA expression in colorectal cancer cells.
Methods: We cultured human colonic epithelial cells ccd-841-con and colonic adenocarcinoma cells Caco-2 with RPMI1640 medium in folic acid-deficient concentration (22.6 nM) and standard concentration (2260 nM), respectively.
The significant role of multifunctional nanoprobes with complementary advantages in magnetic and near-infrared-II (NIR-II, 1000-1700 nm) fluorescence properties has been documented in precision cancer theranostics. However, certain limitations, including the large size (>10 nm), low NIR-II fluorescence quantum yield (QY < 1.0%), and inefficient magnetic performance (relaxation rate < 5.

Objective: To explore the regulation of miR-125a-5p in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and its mechanisms.
Methods: By transfecting a miR-125a-5p sequence and an interfering sequence of miR-125a-5p-s into human HCC cell lines HCC-LM3 and HepG2, miR-125a-5p-related levels were assesed by Western blot. The abilities of cell proliferation and migration were assessed by cell culture and Transwell assay, respectively.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is one type of the most common cancers, which results in the major death worldwide. This study focuses on the understanding of the molecular mechanism of lncRNA NR2F2-AS1 and its regulation on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in the development of NSCLC. Expressions of lncRNA NR2F2-AS1, miR-545-5p, c-Met, biliverdin reductase (BVR), ATF-2 and EMT-related markers in NSCLC tissues and cells were measured by western blotting and RT-qPCR assays.

Several studies have proved the tumor-suppressive effects of miR-335 but its role in colon cancer via regulation of the Raf/MEK/ERK signalling pathway is yet unknown. As such the main motive of conducting the present study was to elucidate the role of miR-335 in colon cancer via regulation of Raf/MEK/ERK signalling pathway and to explore its therapeutic potential. The results revealed significant (P < 0.

This study is to explore the effect of Xiangdan Injection on anticoagulation of warfarin in rats. Rats were randomly divided into different groups and then administered, subsequently the blood samples were collected at a set series of time points to measure PT(prothrombin time) and APTT(activated partial thromboplastin time) values, and INR(international normalized ratio) value was calculated. The plasma concentrations of warfarin enantiomers were determined by UPLC-MS/MS technology, and pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by DAS 2.

IGF-1R is expressed abnormally in osteosarcoma (OS) and could participate in its progression. In this study, we aimed to explore the effect of the IGF-1R inhibitor PQ401 as a treatment for OS. The relative expression of IGF-1R in OS patient tumors and the U2OS cell line were determined by qRT-PCR and by accessing information in a public database.

This work was undertaken to explore the role of splenectomy on attenuation of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) through GTS-21-induced cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway. C57BL/6 mice were used to construct models of sepsis-induced renal injury. HE, Tunel and blood assays were used to determine the success of the model.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the major cause of cancer death worldwide. Increasing evidences show that long non coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are widely involved in the development and progression of NSCLC. The lncRNA HOTTIP has been identified as an oncogene in several human cancers, but its role in NSCLC remains unknown.

MicroRNAs are small non-coding RNAs that are able to regulate gene expression and play important roles in some biological and pathological processes, including the myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. Recent findings demonstrated that miR-1 exacerbated I/R-induced injury. This study was to investigate theanti-apoptotic property of miR-1 inhibition and the potential regulatory mechanism.

Cyclooxygenase2 (Cox-2) is well known for glioma growth through up-regulation of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) levels. MET, a hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) receptor, is also frequently high expressed in glioma, which promotes glioma growth and invasion. Here, we demonstrate that HGF/MET signaling can promote PGE2 production in glioma cells via Cox-2 up-regulation.

Sorcin is a penta-EF hand calcium binding protein, which is involved in the resistance to chemotherapeutics in cancer cells, and is overexpressed in various cancer cells. However, tumor relapse combined with the development of drug resistance remains a significant problem. Here, we demonstrated that silencing of Sorcin in chemotherapy resistance myeloma U266/ADM and KM3/DDP cell lines resulted in reduced cell proliferation, cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis.
