The α-emitting radium-labelled microparticle radionuclide therapeutic Radspherin® is being explored as a novel treatment option for these patients. The replication origin and the initiator protein DnaA are the main targets for regulation of chromosome replication in bacteria. The origin bears multiple DnaA binding sites, while DnaA contains ATP/ADP-binding and DNA-binding domains. When enough ATP-DnaA has accumulated in the cell, an active initiation complex can be formed at the origin resulting in strand opening and recruitment of the replicative helicase.

Small lithium formate EPR (electron paramagnetic resonance) dosimeters (diameter 3 mm, height 2 mm) were produced and employed for 2D dosimetry of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). An anthropomorphic head phantom with an in-house made insert holding 45 lithium formate dosimeters was used. A spherical target was outlined centrally in planning CT images of the head and an SRS dose plan with three arcs was made using the iPlan planning system.
