Background: Evaluated values of body mass index (BMI), waist circumeference (WC) and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) increase the risk of stroke, but the extent to which this is mediated by hypertension, diabetes, lipid status, smoking and alcohol consumption is not fully understood.
Objective: The aim of this research is to examine the influence of modifying and non-modifying factors as well as obesity defined through BMI, WC and WHR on the occurrence of stroke.
Methods: A total of 440 subjects were included in the cohort divided in to two groups.

Carnassial teeth, as one of the most important teeth in dogs, are commonly affected by different types of injuries and pathological disorders, which require endodontic treatment. Lateral canals, which leave the main root canal, and apical deltas are present in the root canal system of dogs. These canals represent small branches that leave the main root canal at a sharp angle and terminate in a region of the periodontal ligament on the external root surface.

Objective: To present a rare disease, and to point out that clinical manifestations treated for a long period of time without an adequate response to therapy may be a manifestation of a rare disease.
Case Report: We present the case of a 3-year-old girl who had been drinking a large amount of water for the previous ten days with frequent urination, and who experienced the worsening of symptoms of scalp dermatitis that had been treated for a year without success. Physical examination revealed a maculopapular rash on the scalp, neck and both ear shells, and exophthalmos of the right eye with periorbital edema.
