Objective: Preeclampsia (PE) is a pregnancy-related multi-organ disease and a significant cause of incidence rate and mortality of pregnant women and newborns worldwide. Delivery remains the only available treatment for PE. This study aims to establish a dynamic prediction model for PE.

A comparison between anterolateral thigh perforator flap and abdominal pedicle flap in repair of hand injuries and tissue defects.

The purpose of this study was to compare the outcome of anterolateral thigh perforator flap and abdominal pedicled flap repair for treating traumatic tissue defects of the hand. A total of 140 patients with hand trauma tissue defects were randomly divided (random number table) into Group A and Group B, with 70 cases in each group. Group A was given anterolateral thigh perforator flap repair, while Group B was given abdominal pedicled flap repair.

[Expert consensus on the construction of emergency department in Chinese county hospitals].

County-level hospitals, as medical and health centers in the counties, are mainly responsible for providing medical care for common and frequently-occurring diseases as well as rescuing acute critical patients. In 2018, editors of the Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine evaluated the current situation of the emergency departments of county-level hospitals and found an unbalanced, inadequate, irregular, and unstable status existed among them. In order to provide developmental principles and constructional goals for the emergency departments of county-level hospitals, which located in different regions and with uneven foundations, Emergency Medical Branch of Chinese Medical Association particularly formulated this expert consensus.

Background: Approximately half of recurrent miscarriages have unexplained etiology. Recent evidences suggest that cytokines are important determinants in pregnancy maintenance and as such, cytokine gene polymorphisms, which can affect cytokine production and/or functionality, could play a role in the disorder. Thus, we aimed to investigate the association of selected cytokine gene polymorphisms with risk of recurrent miscarriage among Chinese.

Massive localized malignant pleural mesothelioma (LMPM): manifestations on computed tomography in 6 cases.

Objective: Our study analyzed the clinical symptoms and computed tomography (CT) manifestations of massive localized malignant pleural mesothelioma (LMPM) patients to improve the knowledge and diagnosis of this disease.

Methods: Our study collected 6 massive LMPM patients pathologically confirmed by CT in the department of Radiology of the People's Hospital of Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, from January, 2007 to June, 2013; data of patients were also collected. The clinical symptoms, clinicopathological characteristics, CT manifestations, treatments and prognosis of enrolled patients were analyzed.

Safety and efficacy of airbag midwifery in promoting normal vaginal delivery and reducing caesarean section.

Background: Balloon bionic midwifery has been applied in clinical obstetrics in China for 10 years, although played a certain role in controlling and improving the quality of obstetrics and caesarean section rate, but some questions have not been resolved.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of airbag midwifery.

Materials And Methods: Primiparas (2410 cases) with various medical conditions were randomly divided into airbag and control groups undergoing the same obstetrical treatments, but airbag midwifery as a birthing option was chosen twice when the cervix was dilated to 2-4 cm during labor.

[Effect of Colquhounia root tablet on IL-2 and IFN-γ mRNA expression in rats with experimental allergic encephalomyelitis].

Objective: To investigate the effect of Colquhounia root tablet on IL-2 and IFN-γ mRNA expression in experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) of rats.

Methods: The allergic encephalomyelitis model was established in Wistar rats by immunization with myelin basic protein of spinal cord of guinea pig and complete Freund's adjuvant. The rats in treatment group received Colquhounia root tablet (300 mg*kg(-1), BID).
