Lack of health knowledge can be a main cause of barriers to early diagnosis and treatment, and it can also highlight the deficiencies in health education. Therefore, it is essential to understand the health knowledge needs of individuals and the related influencing factors in order to improve health education models. A total of 935 administrative staff (AS) were selected as study participants by convenience sampling in Yuxi City, China.

Background: Rapidly developed chemoresistance to dacarbazine (DTIC) is a major obstacle in the clinical management of melanoma; however, the roles and mechanisms of epi-transcriptomic RNA modification in this process have not been investigated.
Method: DTIC-resistant (DR) melanoma cells were established for bulk RNA sequencing. The expressions of mRNAs were detected using qRT-PCR, and protein levels were determined using Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.

Background: To investigate the cognition of cancer warning symptoms and cancer risk factors among Chinese college students, analyze the influencing factors, and explain the correlations between cancer cognition and cancer symptom discrimination, cancer fear and psychological distress.
Methods: Chinese college students were recruited in this cross-sectional study funded by a summer social practice activity in Yunnan Province, China. Cognition rates of cancer warning symptoms and cancer risk factors were evaluated using Cancer Warning symptoms Cognition Questionnaire (CWSCQ) and Cancer Risk Factors Cognition Questionnaire (CRFCQ), respectively.

Objective: The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pulsed field ablation in individuals diagnosed with atrial fibrillation.
Methods: A total of 36 patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation were enrolled in the pulsed field ablation group, while another 36 patients diagnosed with atrial fibrillation were included in the radiofrequency ablation group. Among the study participants, 15 patients in the pulsed field ablation group and 17 patients in the radiofrequency ablation group had persistent atrial fibrillation.

Background: Previous studies have demonstrated an association between diabetes mellitus (DM) and latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI). This study was conducted to update the current understanding of the association between DM and LTBI. By conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis using adjusted odds ratios (aOR) or risk ratios (aRR), we aimed to further explore the association between DM and LTBI and provide essential reference for future research.

Objective: The I polymorphism (G > T, rs7975232) of the vitamin D receptor () gene in the risk of postmenopausal osteoporosis has been widely researched, and the results have yielded conflicts. Therefore, we performed an updated pooled analysis to comprehensively assess the association between I polymorphism and postmenopausal osteoporosis risk.
Methods: We searched eligible studies about I polymorphism and osteoporosis through the PubMed, Embase, CNKI and Wanfang databases; case-control studies containing available genotype frequencies of A/a were chosen.

Renal fibrosis is the common characteristic of chronic kidney disease. Circular RNA plays an essential role in the occurrence and development of Renal fibrosis, but its regulative mechanism remains elusive. The animal and cell model of Renal fibrosis was established, and RNA-sequencing and real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) experiments were implemented.

Background: Post-traumatic growth (PTG) refers to the positive psychological changes experienced with individuals after struggling with highly challenging life circumstances. Forgiveness can facilitate positive outcomes such as reduced distress, anxiety, and depression. Many studies have tested the relationships among forgiveness, social support, and PTG; however, a mechanism of social support has not been completely explored in hemodialysis patients.

Ras‑related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1 (RAC1), a member of the Rac family of guanosine triphosphate phosphohydrolases, has been suggested to be a regulator of myocardial injury during ischemia and reperfusion (I/R). Whether microRNAs (miRs) are involved in the regulation of the aforementioned process remains to be elucidated. In the present study, an model of H9C2 cardiomyocytes was used to establish the overexpression of RAC1 following hypoxia and reoxygenation (H/R).

Background: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the driving force of blindness in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). DR has a high prevalence and lacks effective therapeutic strategies, underscoring the need for early prevention and treatment. Yunnan province, located in the southwest plateau of China, has a high pre-valence of DR and an underdeveloped economy.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a newly identified type of noncoding RNA molecule with a unique closed-loop structure. circRNAs are widely expressed in different tissues and developmental stages of many species, participating in many important pathophysiological processes and playing an important role in the occurrence and development of diseases. This article reviews the discovery, characteristics, formation, and biological function of circRNAs.

Background: Percutaneous left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion is effective for stroke prevention in patients with atrial fibrillation. LAA can have a complex anatomy, such as multiple lobes or a large orifice, which may render it unsuitable for occlusion using regular devices. We aimed to investigate the feasibility, safety, and short-term efficacy of the small-umbrella LAmbre device for morphologically complicated LAA.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs/circs) have gained attention as a class of potential biomarkers for the early detection of multiple cancers. However, the functions and mechanisms of circRNAs in the oncogenesis of human colorectal cancer (CRC) remain to be elucidated. The present study aimed to investigate the roles of and its parental gene methyltransferase-like 3 () in regulating cell proliferation, apoptosis and invasion in the HCT116 human CRC cell line.

Background: Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) are two common malignant disorders in leukemia. Although potent drugs are emerging, CML and AML may still relapse after the drug treatment is stopped. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) and lncRNAs play certain roles in the occurrence and development of tumors, but m6A-modified LncRNAs in ML remain to be further investigated.

The aim of this retrospective population-based study was to investigate the survival outcomes and prognostic factors of patients with the two cervical carcinomas. A cohort of patients diagnosed with papillary serous adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix (PSAC) and papillary squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) between 1973 and 2015 were drawn from the National Cancer Institute's Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database. Overall survival (OS) and cancer-specific survival (CSS) were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and prognostic factors were assessed using Cox proportional hazards survival regression analysis.
