[Clinical application of Visual throat forceps in the removal of hypopharyngeal foreign body].

To explore the feasibility of using self-made visual throat forceps to remove hypopharyngeal foreign bodies. The throat forceps were combined with the endoscope and connected to a monitor via a data cable resulting in a visual throat forceps apparatus. This device was utilized to examine and treat the hypopharyngeal foreign bodies.

Spontaneous pregnancy after tracking ovulation during menstruation: A case report of a woman with premature ovarian insufficiency and repeated failure of fertilization.

The diagnosis of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is devastating in women of reproductive age because of the small chance of spontaneous pregnancy. Here, we report a very rare case with POI and repeated failure of fertilization (IVF) where the final result was natural fertilization following guidance to have sexual intercourse during menstruation as ovulation was monitored. Estradiol valerate was used to increase the thickness of the endometrium and stop the menstrual bleeding.

Effectiveness and safety of low-dose apatinib in advanced gastric cancer: A real-world study.

Apatinib has been demonstrated to be effective and safe among patients with gastric cancer failing after at least two lines chemotherapy. This study aimed to evaluate its effectiveness and safety of low-dose apatinib for the treatment of gastric cancer in real-world practice. We performed a prospective, multicenter observation study in a real-world setting.

Network established to collaborate on diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases in China: A strategic alliance backed by tiered healthcare is the key to the future.

Rare diseases are an important public health issue and a challenge to healthcare. Over the past few years, China has actively worked to improv rare disease care and orphan drugs for rare diseases, but many challenges still remain. In order to further promote measures to combat rare diseases, the "National Network to Collaborate on Diagnosis and Treatment of Rare Diseases" was established by the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China on February 12, 2019.

Advances in diagnosis, treatments, and molecular mechanistic studies of traumatic brain injury.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a main cause of death and disability around the world especially in soldiers, children, and young men. Since its clinical diagnosis and treatment cannot predict its prognosis, novel diagnostic techniques need to be developed, insight into its molecular mechanisms needs to be gleaned, and alternative and complementary medicine (ACM) approaches to its treatment need to be developed. This review summarizes the new diagnostic methods used in clinical practice, such as imaging of structural abnormalities after TBI and measurement of prognosis-related biomarkers.
