Article Synopsis
  • CD20 expression is rare in mycosis fungoides (MF) but has been documented in isolated cases, highlighting a unique instance in a 30-year-old man with a specific skin manifestation.
  • Histopathological analysis revealed neoplastic T cells displaying markers typical of MF, with a subset also expressing CD20, indicating potential implications for diagnosis and treatment.
  • The clinical significance of CD20 positivity in MF is unclear, raising questions about immune dysregulation and disease progression, emphasizing the need for more research to understand its impact on prognosis and treatment strategies.

Background: Myxoid neurofibromas (NF) are uncommon, benign spindle cell tumors that originate from peripheral nerve sheaths, often posing a diagnostic challenge due to their hypocellularity on cytology specimens. Distinguishing myxoid spindle cell lesions can be challenging, given the broad range of potential differential diagnoses.

Case Presentation: A 26-year-old female with a past medical history of embolized inguinal, flank, and retroperitoneal venolymphatic malformation presented with a left pelvic pain causing significant disability.

Introduction: While the long-term oncologic safety of robot-assisted nipple sparing mastectomy (RNSM) remains to be elucidated, histologically detected residual breast tissue (RBT) can be a surrogate for oncologically sound mastectomy. The objective of this study is to determine the presence of RBT after RNSM.

Methods: Between August 2019-January 2020, we completed 5 cadaveric RNSMs.
