Background: With the increasing number and diversity of cancer survivors, studies of survivors' physical, emotional, and social health and well being are of growing importance. Population-based cancer registries, which collect data on incident cases, can play an important role in quality-of-life (QoL) studies. In this review, the authors provide an overview of QoL studies that have used cancer registry data in this emerging area of research.

Background: Few studies specifically focus on fatigue of (long-term) colorectal cancer (CRC) survivors or compare fatigue levels with a normative population. Association between surviving multiple primary cancers and fatigue is also explored.
Methods: Survivors diagnosed from 1998 to 2009 were identified from the Eindhoven Cancer Registry.

Objective: The health status and psychosocial well-being of multiple primary cancer (MPC) survivors are under-researched.
Methods: In total, 3615 survivors identified from the Eindhoven Cancer Registry between 2008 and 2009 were assessed. About one in six survivors had survived MPC (n = 556).

Background: This population-based study assessed the impact of chemotherapy on general and disease-specific health status of resected colon cancer survivors up to 10 years post-diagnosis.
Patients And Methods: Colon cancer survivors diagnosed between 1998 and 2007 were selected from the Eindhoven Cancer Registry. Survivors completed the SF-36 and the EORTC colorectal module (EORTC-QLQ-CR38).
