Statement Of Problem: Intraoral scanners have many advantages but have limited applicability for extensive tooth-supported or implant-supported prostheses because of merging errors.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the reverse scan technique (RST) with an intraoral scanner using the traditional impression technique both in vitro and in vivo.

Material And Methods: A participant was scanned 10 times with an intraoral scanner.

Cranial Electrode Belt Position Improves Diagnostic Possibilities of Electrical Impedance Tomography during Laparoscopic Surgery with Capnoperitoneum.

Laparoscopic surgery with capnoperitoneum brings many advantages to patients, but also emphasizes the negative impact of anesthesia and mechanical ventilation on the lungs. Even though many studies use electrical impedance tomography (EIT) for lung monitoring during these surgeries, it is not clear what the best position of the electrode belt on the patient's thorax is, considering the cranial shift of the diaphragm. We monitored 16 patients undergoing a laparoscopic surgery with capnoperitoneum using EIT with two independent electrode belts at different tomographic levels: in the standard position of the 4th-6th intercostal space, as recommended by the manufacturer, and in a more cranial position at the level of the axilla.

Reverse scan technique: A verification method for the implant position in intraoral scans.

This article describes a fully digital method of verifying and increasing the accuracy of the position of implants in extensive prosthetic restorations. This cost-effective, timesaving, and versatile procedure uses a laboratory scanner, a scannable implant analog, and a printed interim implant-supported prosthesis to refine the virtual definitive cast.

Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) may show unusual morphologies, and in such circumstances, an unexpected immunoprofile can be misleading. Following an index case of myxoid meningeal SFT with a neuroendocrine immunoprofile, we decided to assess a neuroendocrine profile in SFTs from various locations. The cohort of 9 meningeal and 28 extrameningeal SFTs was evaluated for CNS WHO grade (G1-G3) and 4-tiered Demicco risk stratification.
