Male hypogonadism is not a risk associated with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) stimulant medications, but recent studies have explored this connection. Though the pathophysiologic connection remains unclear, we predicted that long-term use of ADHD stimulant medications could increase the risk of hypogonadism in post-pubertal males. Utilizing TriNetX, LLC Research Network data from January 2000 through December 2019, men older than 18 with ADHD receiving long-term stimulant medication (>36 monthly prescriptions) were selected for the study population.

Purpose: We sought to examine the association of extraprostatic extension (EPE) with biochemical recurrence (BCR) separately in men with Grade Group (GG) 1 and GG2 prostate cancer (PCa) treated with radical prostatectomy.
Materials And Methods: We reviewed our institutional database of patients who underwent radical prostatectomy for PCa between 2005 and 2022 and identified patients with GG1 and GG2 disease on final pathology. Fine-Gray competing risk models with an interaction between EPE (yes vs no) and GG (GG1 vs GG2) were used to examine the relationship between disease group and BCR-free survival.

Objective: To determine whether radiological change on serial multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging scored using the Prostate Cancer Radiological Estimation of Change in Sequential Evaluation (PRECISE) Scoring system predicts grade reclassification (GR) at surveillance biopsy in men on active surveillance (AS) with Grade Group 1 (GG1) prostate cancer (PCa).
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed records of 255 men with low-risk PCa on AS with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-informed diagnostic and confirmatory biopsies and studied the subset who had surveillance biopsies (n = 163) within 6months of an interval MRI.
Results: We studied 309 PRECISE scores in 255 men.

Introduction: Preserving the cavernous nerves, the main autonomic nerve supply of the penis, is a major challenge of radical prostatectomy. Cavernous nerve injury during radical prostatectomy predominantly accounts for post-radical prostatectomy erectile dysfunction. The cavernous nerve is a bilateral structure that branches in a weblike distribution over the prostate surface and varies anatomically in individuals, such that standard nerve-sparing methods do not sufficiently sustain penile erection ability.

Multiple studies have demonstrated prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) expression in the neo-vasculature of non-prostate tumors including clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). However, PSMA expression in rare renal tumors including MiTF family translocation renal cell carcinoma has not been previously characterized. We examined PSMA expression by immunohistochemistry in a series of MiTF family translocation renal cell carcinomas as well as in several genetically related tumors including alveolar soft part sarcoma and PEComas with TFE3 rearrangements.

Methods: Twenty-two prostate cancer (PC) patients underwent two F-DCFPyL PET scans within 7 days within a prospective clinical trial (NCT03793543). In both PET scans, uptake in normal organs (kidneys, spleen, liver, and salivary and lacrimal glands) was quantified.

Context: Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) targeting positron emission tomography (PET) is emerging to become a reference imaging tool for the staging and restaging of patients with prostate cancer for both clinical routine and trials. The prostate cancer molecular imaging standardized evaluation (PROMISE) criteria have been proposed as a framework for whole-body staging (molecular imaging TNM staging, denoted miTNM staging) to describe the prostate cancer disease extent on PSMA-PET.
Objective: To create a comprehensive and integrated framework for PSMA-PET image interpretation and reporting.

Background: Mid-to-proximal ureteral strictures pose a surgical challenge that historically required ileal ureter substitution, downward nephropexy, or renal autotransplantation. Ureteral reconstruction techniques involving buccal mucosa or appendix have gained traction with success rates approaching 90%.
Objectives: In this video we describe surgical technique for a robotic-assisted augmented roof ureteroplasty using an appendiceal onlay flap.

Here, we describe and assess the potential of 14 newly synthesized imidazole-4,5-dicarboxyamides (I45DCs) for pH and perfusion imaging. A number of these aromatic compounds possess large labile proton chemical shifts (up to 7.7 ppm from water) because of their intramolecular hydrogen bonds and a second labile proton to allow for chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) signal ratio-based pH measurements.

Purpose: We sought to investigate whether enzalutamide (ENZA), without concurrent androgen deprivation therapy, increases freedom from prostate-specific antigen (PSA) progression (FFPP) when combined with salvage radiation therapy (SRT) in men with recurrent prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy (RP).
Patients And Methods: Men with biochemically recurrent prostate cancer after RP were enrolled into a randomized, double-blind, phase II, placebo-controlled, multicenter study of SRT plus ENZA or placebo (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT02203695).

Fluorine-18 is the ideal PET radionuclide with a moderately long half-life, high positron yield, low positron energy, and cyclotron-based production. In sickle cell disease (SCD), reduced bioavailability of endothelial NO and cGMP results in reduced expression of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), thus impairing the penile erection control mechanism and resulting in prolonged penile erection (priapism). In SCD, reduced NO bioavailability is associated with excess plasma hemoglobin due to intravascular hemolysis and increased oxidative stress. Haptoglobin is the plasma protein responsible for reducing plasma hemoglobin levels, but in SCD, haptoglobin levels are reduced, which favors the accumulation of hemoglobin in plasma.

Purpose: We aimed to evaluate the clinical significance of perineural invasion in men on active surveillance for Grade Group 1 prostate cancer.
Materials And Methods: We identified 1,969 men with Grade Group 1 prostate cancer and at least 1 follow-up biopsy. A time-dependent Cox model and a logistic regression model were used to assess the association between biopsy-detected perineural invasion and grade reclassification (defined as the detection of Grade Group ≥2 prostate cancer on a surveillance biopsy), and adverse pathology (defined as Grade Group ≥3 ± seminal vesicle invasion ± lymph node involvement) at radical prostatectomy, respectively.
