Aims: The primary goal of the present study was to compare the pre- and post-stapedotomy elicitation and waveform characteristics of both air- and bone-conduction (AC-, BC-) cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (cVEMPs) through an individualized approach. A possible association between audiological characteristics, such as AC- and BC- pure tone audiometry thresholds and air-bone gap and the production of cVEMPs before and after stapedotomy was also investigated.
Material And Methods: Twenty-five ears were subjected to full audiological evaluation as well as AC- and BC-cVEMPs pre- and post-stapedotomy.

Purpose: In chronic otitis media (COM), disease chronicity and severity of middle ear inflammation may influence the development of inner ear deficits, increasing the risk of vestibular impairment. This secondary analysis of the multinational collaborative Chronic Otitis Media Questionnaire-12 (COMQ-12) dataset sought to determine the prevalence of vestibular symptoms in patients with COM and identify associated disease-related characteristics.
Methods: Adult patients with a diagnosis of COM in outpatient settings at nine otology referral centers across eight countries were included.

We evaluated the association between risk factors for endometrial cancer (EC) and sonographic endometrial thickness (ET) with FIGO stages at diagnosis. We also reported our experience in reliability of sonographic ET as screening tool for either histologic subtype I and II of EC. It was a case series study including 339 patients diagnosed with EC from 2010 to 2017 at the Ipswich Hospital, UK.

Objective: In March 2018, the Explorer study, an international, double-blind, randomised controlled trial (RCT), established that adding a TLC-NOSF (UrgoStart Contact, Laboratoires Urgo, France) dressing to good local standard of care (SoC) significantly and substantially increases wound closure and reduces the healing time of neuroischaemic diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). Besides the TLC-NOSF treatment, the wound duration was the only other covariate that had an influence on the wound closure rate in the regression model used in the original study. The purpose of this work was to further document the impact of wound duration on the healing outcomes of the DFUs included in the Explorer study and to discuss complementary pragmatic observations on the TLC-NOSF effect.

Cerebral oxygen delivery is central to the modern intensive care of patients with severe traumatic brain injury. Low brain tissue oxygen tension (PO) results from microvascular collapse and diffusion limitation and is associated with adverse outcome. A number of therapies to improve oxygen delivery are known to be effective in improving PO.

Context: Recent studies using skin biopsy suggest presence of small-fiber neuropathy in subclinical hypothyroidism. This study uses two noninvasive methods-the laser Doppler imager flare technique (LDIFLARE) and corneal confocal microscopy (CCM)-to assess small-fiber function (SFF) and small-fiber structure (SFS), respectively, in newly diagnosed hypothyroidism (HT) before and after adequate treatment.
Design And Setting: Single-center, prospective, intervention-based cohort study.
