Methods: This prospective study was organized from July to December 2015 in the Microbiology Department of The Children's Hospital and The Institute of Child Health Lahore. It was done on one hundred currency notes of four different denominations collected from various groups of people in sterile polythene bags.

Objective: The study aimed to demonstrate the pattern of clinical presentations and outcome of acute Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) in our Centre.
Methods: A descriptive, observational study was conducted by collecting and analysing the data of 103 patients of acute ITP, ageing between 1-14 years, at The Children's Hospital, Lahore from January 2016 to December 2016. We collected the data regarding age, sex, clinical presentations, history of preceding viral infections, vaccination history, laboratory values, different treatment options used, and response to the treatment concerning complete response, partial response and poor responders.

Methods: The study was conducted in August 2016 at The Children's Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, and comprised postgraduate residents who were asked to complete postgraduate hospital educational environment measure questionnaire. The residents' individual perception scores were calculated and the means of both individual domain and global score of the questionnaire were compared by different specialities and different levels of residency training year.

Objective: To evaluate the adequacy of serum C-reactive protein (CRP) in diagnosing neonatal sepsis and role of CRP in determining the duration of antibiotic treatment in neonatal sepsis.
Methods: In this validation study, we included 135 neonates with suspected diagnosis of sepsis within duration of nine months from September 2016 to May2017 in Children Hospital Multan. Blood samples were drawn from every neonate for culture sensitivity and measurement of serum C-reactive proteins.

Objective: The present study aimed to determine the frequency and antimicrobial profile of ESBL-producing isolates of in different environments.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at The Children's Hospital and The Institute of Child Health, Lahore from July to December 2015. The faecal specimens from healthy individuals, patients, sewage sludge, cattle, chickens and raw meat (n = 122) were processed for microbiological analysis using MacConkey agar supplemented with cefotaxime.
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of pulse oximetry as a screening tool for critical congenital heart defects in newborns.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at the neonatology department of the Children's Hospital and the Institute of Child Health, Lahore, Pakistan, from January to June 2016, and comprised neonates aged up to 07 days. Babies with a prenatal diagnosis of heart defects and those whose parents refused to give consent were excluded.
