Rapid industrial expansion leads to environmental pollution especially in an aqueous environment. Photocatalytic degradation is one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly techniques used to treat industrial pollution due to its complete degradation capability of a variety of water contaminants to their non-toxic state. Graphitic carbon nitride (gCN) and molybdenum disulfide (MoS) provide efficient dye degradation, but MoS has few disadvantages.

PDK1, an attractive cancer target that downstreams 23 other kinases towards cell growth, survival and metabolism has gaining attention due to allosteric effect of ligands bound to it. Generally, the drug design strategy using pharmacophores is either a single protein structure or ensemble or ligand-based. Apart from these methods, yet another new approach of protein-protein docking with state of art computational tool like Schrodinger Suite to generate pharmacophores based on the interacting partners of the protein is proposed in this work.

Naturally occurring biopolymers like exopolysaccharides (EPS) secreted by lactic acid bacteria (LAB) has gained significant attention as they are cost effective, renewable and safe. In order to prevent the rapid increase in antibiotic resistant bacteria, the EPS of LAB offers novel approach of targeting the antibiotic resistant pathogens by limiting their effects on environment. Accordingly, in this study, the production, purification, characterization and biological properties of exopolysaccharides from Lactococcus hircilactis strain CH4 and Lactobacillus delbrueckii strain GRIPUMSK were performed.

In this article, we describe the formulation of polyaniline-chitosan/MoS (PANI-CS @MoS) blended composite and evaluated its efficiency to degrade the dye molecules Rhodamine B (RhB) and Malachite Green (MG) under visible light. In the photocatalytic mechanism, the CS acts as an electron carrier and binding agent during the oxidation reaction to decrease the recombination of electrons and holes generated by the irradiation of light. FTIR, XPS, XRD, TG, Zeta Potential, UV, SEM, AFM and TEM were used to characterize the PANI-CS@MoS composite after it had been synthesized.

Different modes of attachment of graphene oxide (GO) on an electrode surface resulted in unusual catalytic behavior respective of attachment because of film thickness. The present work investigates the direct adsorption of GO to the surface of a glassy carbon (GC) electrode. Scanning electron microscopy images revealed that multilayers of GO get adsorbed on the GC substrate and the adsorption was limited by folding up of the GO sheets at their edges.

There are gross inequities in access to non-communicable disease (NCD) care in India. The Indian state of Tamil Nadu recently launched the "Medicine at people's doorstep" (Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam - MTM) scheme in which screening and medications for NCDs are delivered at people's doorsteps. This is likely to improve geographical access to NCD services in the community.

Bio-nanocomposite-based packaging materials have gained significance due to their possible applications in food packaging. Cellulose acetate is a biopolymer obtained by acetylation of cellulose and has characteristics such as biocompatibility, biodegradability and high transparency. Introducing iron-based metal-organic frameworks offer good mechanical strength, unique surface area and both chemical and thermally stability, making them favourable as supporting materials in fabricating polymer-based packaging materials.

Recent studies have focused on the similarity between -2 and various viruses from the Coronaviridae family (such as , and 13) to uncover the mystery of -2. Specifically, some studies identified that the -2 is closely related to 13 (a -related coronavirus found in bats) rather than the other viruses in that family. These studies are mainly focusing on the biological techniques to show the similarity between the -2 and other viruses.

The detection of cancer biomarkers has recently become an established method for the early diagnosis of cancer. The sensitive analysis of specific biomarkers can also be clinically applied for the determination of response to treatment and monitoring of disease progression. Because of the ultra-low concentration of cancer biomarkers in body fluids, diagnostic tools need to be highly sensitive and specific.

This paper is step forward to establish an exponential synchronization criterion for discrete-time complex-valued neural networks (CVNNs) having time-varying delays subject to randomly occurring uncertain weighting parameters, in order to overcome the fluctuation when the output-feedback controller imposes on its dynamics. To achieve this, Jensen's weighted summation inequalities (WSIs) and an extended reciprocal convex matrix inequality (ERCMI) are extended into the domain of complex field. By introducing some augmented vectors, a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) is constructed to attain an improved delay-dependent linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) constraint for the exponential synchronization phenomenon of the desired master-slave neuronal system model.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Ethnogynaecology is an emerging branch of science dealing with the treatment of gynaecological ailments by tribals, local healers, and traditional practitioners. The ethnogynaecological importance of medicinal plants in India is a fertile area to conduct more scientific studies to evaluate their potentialities, to isolate bioactive compounds, and thereby to develop drugs for the common gynaecological health-related issues faced by women everywhere.
Objectives: The Indigenous medical knowledge systems of India have not been properly documented with special reference to ethnogynaecology.

Storage and transmission of high-compression 3D radiological images that create high-quality reconstruction upon decompression are critical necessities for effective and efficient teleradiology. To cater to this need, we propose a near lossless 3D image volume compression method based on optimal multilinear singular value decomposition called "3D-VOI-OMLSVD." The proposed strategy first eliminates any blank 2D image slices from the 3D image volume and uses the selective bounding volume (SBV) to identify and extract the volume of Interest (VOI).

The current study aimed to screen bacteriocin producing LAB from different dairy products and evaluation of their biological properties. Initially, 12 (4-chess, 4-curd, and 4-yohurt) LAB species were isolated and only 4 isolates alone were selected based on their clear yellow halo zone around the colonies in the selective medium. The selected 4 isolates were identified based on their morphological and biochemical characteristics.

Network biology is an important finding that uncovers the significant elements in viral infection control. Since viruses use the proteins on their surfaces to attach and enter into the host cell, the establishment of virus-host protein interactions is a potent regulator of the global organization of the viral life cycle after virus entry into host cells. In this instance, a topological study on the Protein-Protein Interaction Network () evacuates much information about the protein-protein interactions.

In this work, we report the development of nitrogen-doped carbon dots (NDCDs) as a drug carrier using quercetin (QC) as a model drug for anti-cancer drug delivery application. NDCDs were prepared by a simple hydrothermal method using as a carbon source. The characterization of QC-NDCDs was done by UV-vis spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, zeta potential measurements, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Raman spectroscopy.

We report a comprehensive study of the interaction of transition and heavy metal ions with graphene quantum dots-capped silver nanoparticles (AgGQDs) using different spectroscopic and microscopic techniques. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy studies show that the interaction of metal ions with AgGQDs leads to the formation of metal oxides, the formation of zerovalent metals, and the aggregation of Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs). The metal ions may interact with AgGQDs through selective coordination with -OH and -COOH functionalities, adsorption on the graphene moiety, and directly to AgNPs.
