G.E.R.N. Research Center for Tissue Replacement, Regeneration & Neogenesis, Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Medical Center-Albert-Ludwigs- University of Freiburg, 79108, Freiburg in Breisgau, Germany.

Increasing studies have investigated the link between physical activity (PA) and sedentary behavior with venous thromboembolism (VTE) but the existing findings are not consistent and the independent relationship is uncertain. This meta-analysis aimed to comprehensively assess the shape of dose-response relationship between PA and sedentary behavior with VTE and further explore whether the relationship is independent after mutual adjustment. We systematically searched PubMed, Embase and Web of Science from inception to August 1, 2024.

Background: Occult thyroid papillary carcinoma (OTPC) is typically characterized by initial presentation with cervical lymph node metastasis and can be detected through ultrasound. However, the initial and sole manifestation was a submandibular solid-cystic mass. High-frequency ultrasound, enhanced multislice computed tomography (CT) scan, and thyroid function tests revealed no abnormalities, which is relatively uncommon.

Purpose: To elucidate the relationship between peripheral edema and programmed cell death-1/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-1/PD-L1) inhibitors, the meta-analysis was performed.

Method: Following the guidelines of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses, all-grade and grade 3-5 of peripheral edema data extracted from clinical trials were taken into account for the final comprehensive assessments.

Results: Twenty-seven PD-1/PD-L1-related clinical trials with peripheral edema data were collected.

Sequencing analysis of heparin reducing terminals with orthogonal chromatographic approaches.

J Chromatogr A

August 2022

College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Soochow University, Suzhou, Jiangsu 215021, China. Electronic address:

Heparin is a linear sulfated polysaccharide with a complex structure. It is important to figure out the sequences at the terminals of the sugar chains, as it will help us understand the heparin structure deeper and control its quality properly. The tetrasaccharide linkage region (LR) could be a tag to help us find out heparin terminals after digestion by different combinations of heparinases.

Protective Effect of Casticin on Experimental Skin Wound Healing of Rats.

J Surg Res

June 2022

Department of Medical Aesthetics, Xianyang Hospital of Yan'an University, Xianyang, Shaanxi, China. Electronic address:

Introduction: The wound is known as damage to the skin structure by external stimuli, such as cut, bruises, and burn, which typically leaves the internal tissue exposed. The wound repair process when hampered leads to an excessive burden on the healthcare setting. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop effective agents that can promote the wound healing process.

What Is Known And Objective: Myelosuppression, an adverse drug reaction (ADR), often causes medical treatment termination in cancer patients. It has been known that genetic components, such as single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), influence the risk of myelosuppression at the individual-patient level. However, due to ethnic variation in frequency of genetic polymorphisms, results reported in Caucasian patients may not be generalizable to the Chinese Han population.
