Introduction And Aim: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a public health problem worldwide. In addition, HBV infection results are influenced by various virological, immunological, and genetic factors. Inducible T-cell costimulator (ICOS) polymorphisms involving chronic HBV infection have been confirmed in previous studies.

Background: In spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), black hole sign has been proposed as a promising imaging marker that predicts hematoma expansion in patients with ICH. The aim of our study was to investigate whether admission CT black hole sign predicts hematoma growth in patients with ICH.
Methods: From July 2011 till February 2016, patients with spontaneous ICH who underwent baseline CT scan within 6 h of symptoms onset and follow-up CT scan were recruited into the study.

BACKGROUND Early hematoma growth is associated with poor outcome in patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). The swirl sign (SS) and the black hole sign (BHS) are imaging markers in ICH patients. The aim of this study was to compare the predictive value of these 2 signs for early hematoma growth.

Background: The efficacy of psychosocial intervention has been proven in treatment of diabetic patients with depression in some studies. This meta-analysis was conducted to explore the efficacy as well as additional effects of this method during diabetic management in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and comorbid depression.
Methods: Electronic databases were searched from March 2000 to March 2017 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) studying the effects of psychosocial intervention on T2DM patients with depression.

Background: Operative level is a potential biomechanical risk factor for construct failure during anterior fixation for distractive flexion injury. No biomechanical study of this concept has been reported, although it is important in clinical management.
Methods: To explore the mechanism of this concept, a previously validated three-dimensional C2-T1 finite element model was modified to simulate surgical procedure via the anterior approach for treating single-level distractive flexion injury, from C2-C3 to C7-T1.

Objective: Local immune regulation therapy has been one of the therapeutic methods used for the treatment of autoimmune thyroid disease in patients with pretibial myxedema (PTM). However, the poor response rate and high recurrence rate are still major problems. Whether a premixed corticosteroid, compound betamethasone, could enhance remission rate and decrease recurrence rate in patients with PTM was investigated in the present study.

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) contain a great deal of information of tumor phenotype. Therefore, highly sensitive detection and specific enrichment of CTCs are of intense interest. Herein, a label-free electrochemical impedance spectroscopy cytosensor with effective surface recognition between specific epithelial cell adhesion molecules (EpCAM) over-expressed on the cell membrane and EpCAM aptamer was developed for the detection of CTCs.
