Staphylococcal enterotoxins (SEs) serve as the primary cause of staphylococcal food poisoning and other foodborne intoxications. Among them, staphylococcal enterotoxin C (SEC) has the highest prevalence in dairy products, leading to multiple outbreaks all around the world. Thus, it is of great significance to develop a highly sensitive, highly specific and easy to operate chemiluminescent sandwich enzyme immunoassay (CLEIA) for detecting staphylococcal enterotoxin C (SEC1).

Skin and Soft Tissue Nontuberculous Mycobacteria Infection: A Retrospective Case Series of 49 Patients.

Background: The incidence of skin and soft tissue nontuberculous mycobacteria infection (SSTNI) is increasing. But it may be challenging to diagnose and treat SSTNI.

Objective: To summarize course, clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of SSTNI and discuss the association between SSTNI and procedures.

Extracorporeal shock wave therapy in treating ischial non-union following Bernese periacetabular osteotomy: A case report.

Background: Extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) is increasingly being recognized as an advantageous alternative for treating non-union due to its efficacy and minimal associated complications. Non-union following Bernese periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) is particularly challenging, with a reported 55% delayed union and 8% non-union. Herein, we highlight a unique case of ischial non-union post-PAO treated successfully with a structured ESWT regimen.

Intramedullary nailing for irreducible spiral subtrochanteric fractures: A comparison of cerclage and non-cerclage wiring.

Purpose: Intramedullary nailing is the preferred internal fixation technique for the treatment of subtrochanteric fractures because of its biomechanical advantages. However, no definitive conclusion has been reached regarding whether combined cable cerclage is required during intramedullary nailing treatment. This study is performed to compare the clinical effects of intramedullary nailing with cerclage and non-cerclage wiring in the treatment of irreducible spiral subtrochanteric fractures.

We aim to determine whether the modified acidic (A) or neutral (B) WRP solutions can improve intestinal microbial dysbiosis in burn-injured mice. Male Balb/c mice were gavaged with WRPs at 80, 160, 320 mg/kg.

Background: This study evaluates the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (US-FNA) and core needle biopsy (US-CNB) for detecting axillary lymph nodes in women with breast cancer.

Methods: Eligible studies and pertinent literature resources were identified in Cochrane, PubMed, Embase, CNKI, VIP, and Wanfang databases using subject-specific keywords. Study outcomes were tested for heterogeneity, and meta-analyses were performed to estimate sensitivity, specificity, and diagnostic odds ratios (DORs).

Background: Several studies have indicated possible associations between age and the prognosis of breast cancer (BC), but limited data are available from hospital-based multicenter studies in China. This study aimed to explore the associations between age at initial diagnosis of BC and the risk of recurrence or metastasis among Chinese women with newly diagnosed advanced breast cancer (ABC) and provide treatment decision support for BC patients of different ages to medical workers.

Methods: The medical records of patients newly diagnosed with ABC were obtained from 21 hospitals in seven geographic regions in China from 2012 to 2014.
