Calcium ions (Ca) are crucial in tumorigenesis and progression, with their elevated levels indicating a negative prognosis in Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma (KIRC). The influence of genes regulating calcium ions on the survival outcomes of KIRC patients and their interaction with the tumor's immune microenvironment is yet to be fully understood. This study analyzed gene expression data from KIRC tumor and adjacent non-tumor tissues using the TCGA-KIRC dataset to pinpoint genes that are differentially expressed in KIRC.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related death attributed to high frequency of metastasis and multiple drug resistance. We aim to examine the underlying molecular mechanism and to seek potential strategies to reverse primary/acquired resistance to regorafenib. Topoisomerase IIα (TOP2A) is critical for tumorigenesis and carcinogenesis.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is one type of the most common cancers, which results in the major death worldwide. This study focuses on the understanding of the molecular mechanism of lncRNA NR2F2-AS1 and its regulation on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in the development of NSCLC. Expressions of lncRNA NR2F2-AS1, miR-545-5p, c-Met, biliverdin reductase (BVR), ATF-2 and EMT-related markers in NSCLC tissues and cells were measured by western blotting and RT-qPCR assays.

The pathogenesis of metastasis of colon cancer (Cca) is to be further investigated. The dysfunction of apoptotic mechanism plays a role in the cancer cell over growth. This study tests a hypothesis by which intestinal bacterium-derived cyp27a1 prevents apoptosis in colon cancer cells.

Infrarenal aortic cross-clamping (IAC) is commonly used during infrarenal vascular operations. Prolonged IAC causes ischemia-reperfusion injury to local tissues, resulting in the release of inflammatory cytokines and acute lung injury (ALI). Pentoxifylline (PTX) is a clinically used drug for chronic occlusive arterial diseases and exerts protective effects against ALI induced by various factors in experimental models.

Purpose: We aimed to observe the effects and mechanism of rhBNP treatment on myocardial fibrosis (MF) after myocardial infarction (MI).
Methods: SPF rats were separated into 3 groups: normal, MI (ligation of left coronary artery), and MI + rhBNP (recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide). Rats in MI + rhBNP group were given 30 μg/kg for 2 days before modeling and for 4 weeks after modeling.

Ginkgolide B, a diterpene, is an herbal constituent isolated from the leaves of Ginkgo biloba tree. The present study demonstrates the effect of ginkgolide B in osmotherapy on brain metabolism and tissue oxygenation. Multimodality monitoring including intracranial pressure (ICP), cerebral perfusion pressure (CPP), partial pressure of brain tissue oxygen (PbtO2), lactate/pyruvate ratio (LPR) and microdialysis were employed to study the effect of ginkgolide B osmotherapy.

Objective: To perform dual-bundle reconstruction of posterior cruciate ligament using full arthroscopic tibial inlay technology with self-designed tibia tunnel drilling system and to compare the effect of arthroscopic tibial inlay versus traditional technique for posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
Material And Methods: 32 patients were randomly divided into experiment group (improved tibial inlay, n = 17) and control group (traditional tibial inlay, n = 15). Self-designed tibia tunnel drill system was used to produce intraoperative deep-limited bone tunnel.
