Objective: To study the factors affecting the long-term prognosis of patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) after thymectomy.
Methods: 170 MG patients who had undergone thymectomies were studied retrospectively. Among them, 124 patients received long-term follow-up for more than 40 months postoperatively.

The paper firstly represents two cases of cholesterol granuloma of the maxillary sinus in China. The common symptoms of the disease include nasal obstruction and bone erosion in severe case. The disease is related to obstruction of the antral ostia, hemorrhage into polypoidal mucosal disease or cholesterol precipitation in the walls of antral cyst.

Three pairs of human cadaver femora were used for strain measurement under a weight-bearing simulation test, which was performed on intact bone and osteotomized bone fixed by 3 types of plates with different rigidities respectively. The plates with uniform thickness did not adhere to the uniform stress distribution along the plate. The stress between both central screw holes was significantly great.

Three cases of later onset metachromatic leukodystrophy in one family were reported. The brother is 32 years old, younger sister is 35 years old and the elder sister is 39 years old, who were normal as child without any family history of neurological disease. The three cases began their illness at about the age of 30 years old with dysarthria, progressive dementia, motor disturbance and numbness in the extremities.
