The Association between Long Noncoding RNA over Expression and Poor Prognosis of Liver Cancer: A Meta-Analysis.

Background: Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) is considered to be a mediator of carcinogenesis, which may be associated with liver cancer survival. However, the relationship remains inconclusive. Meta-analysis was conducted to analytically review the association between the lncRNA expression level and clinicopathological characteristics and prognostic value of hepatic carcinoma.

Local anesthetic levobupivacaine inhibits stemness of osteosarcoma cells by epigenetically repressing MAFB though reducing KAT5 expression.

Osteosarcoma is the most prevalent bone cancer and accounts for over half of sarcomas. In this study, we identified that the treatment of levobupivacaine suppressed proliferation of osteosarcoma cells . The tumor xenograft analysis showed that levobupivacaine significantly repressed the osteosarcoma cell growth in the nude mice.

Treatment of Traumatic Cartilage Defects of Rabbit Knee Joint by Adipose Derived Stem Cells Combined with Kartogenin Hydroxyapatite Nano-Microsphere Complex.

Kartogenin (KGN) can effectively promote the differentiation of adipose derived stem cells (ADSCs) into chondrocytes. With the help of three-dimensional slow-release technology, nano-microspheres are generated and used for cartilage repair. First, KGN solution was prepared, which was dissolved in distilled water, and NaOH solution, HEPES buffer, sodium chloride particles, and hydroxyapatite (HA) solution were added to prepare KGN-HA gel solution containing KGN.

Severity and factors of menopausal symptoms in middle-aged women in Gansu Province of China: a cross-sectional study.

Objective: To investigate the severity and risk factors of menopausal symptoms in the middle-aged women in Gansu Province of China.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a total of 7319 women (aged 40-55 years) attended the health survey in Gansu Province in China were enrolled. Information on demographics, menopausal status, reproductive history, and history of chronic diseases was collected via a structured questionnaire.

[Analysis of Correlation between Interval Time of Chemotherapy and Prognosis in Patients with Acute Leukemia].

Objective: To investigate the relationship between average interval time of chemotherapy and prognosis in patients with acute leukemia (AL) during intensive treatment.

Methods: Data of 92 newly treated adult AL patients who received chemotherapy in The First Hospital of Lanzhou University from January 2010 to June 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into groups according to the average interval time of chemotherapy during intensive treatment, and its influence on prognosis was analyzed.

Background: Human Sapoviruses (SaVs) has been reported as one of the causative agents of acute gastroenteritis (AGE) worldwide. An outbreak of SaVs affected 482 primary school students during spring activities from February 24 to March 11, 2019 in Shenzhen City, China. Our study was aimed at determining the epidemiology of the outbreak, investigating its origins, and making a clear identification of the SaVs genetic diversity.

Purpose: N6-methyladenosine (mA) and demethylase fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO) were reported to be associated with oocyte development and maturation. But the relationship between FTO and ovarian aging was still unclear. This study was aimed at investigating the FTO expression level and the mA content during ovarian aging.

Association Between Parity and the Age at Menopause and Menopausal Syndrome in Northwest China.

This study evaluated the relationships between parity and the age at menopause and menopausal syndrome among Chinese women in Gansu. A total of 7236 women aged 40 to 55 years met study eligibility criteria. The modified Kupperman Menopausal Index scale was used to assess the severity of menopausal syndrome.

Neuropilin1 silencing impairs the proliferation and migration of cells in pancreatic cancer.

Background: Neuropilin1 (NRP1) participates in cancer cell proliferation, migration, and metastasis as a multifunctional co-receptor by interacting with multiple signal pathways, but few studies have addressed the precise function of NRP1 in pancreatic cancer (PACA) cells. We aimed to study whether NRP1 gene silencing involved in the proliferation and migration of PACA cells in vitro.

Methods: A lentiviral vector expressing NRP1 shRNA was constructed and transfected into human PACA cells (CFPAC-1 and PANC-1).

Standard-tract percutaneous nephrolithotomy for complicated calculi within horseshoe kidneys: A report of one case.

A 48-year-old man was presented in the local hospitalized where he lived because of lower back pain one month ago. Then he came to our hospital for kidney stones on the right side within horseshoe kidneys and hydronephrosis diagnosed by imaging and abdominal ultrasound. After we proceeded single standard percutaneous nephrolithotomy with holmium laser combined EMS, his stones were totally removed with little intraoperative bleeding.

BACKGROUND The function of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) BMP/OP-responsive gene (BORG) has only been studied in breast cancer. We analyzed the role of BORG in colorectal cancer (CRC). MATERIAL AND METHODS BORG in CRC tissues and non-cancer tissues from 66 CRC patients was detected by performing quantitative reverse-transcription PCR (RT-qPCR).

S100A16 Regulates HeLa Cell through the Phosphatidylinositol 3 Kinase (PI3K)/AKT Signaling Pathway.

BACKGROUND S100 calcium-binding protein A16 (S100A16) is closely related to the onset and progression of tumors. MATERIAL AND METHODS In the research, the mainly purpose was to investigate the effect of S100A16 on the proliferation ability, invasion, and angiogenesis of HeLa cells. An adenoviral vector overexpressing S100A16 (Ad-S100A16) was constructed and transfected into HeLa cells, forming a stable cells line of overexpression.

Epidemiology, quality and reporting characteristics of meta-analyses of observational studies published in Chinese journals.

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the epidemiological and reporting characteristics as well as the methodological quality of meta-analyses (MAs) of observational studies published in Chinese journals.

Methods: 5 Chinese databases were searched for MAs of observational studies published from January 1978 to May 2014. Data were extracted into Excel spreadsheets, and Meta-analysis of Observational Studies in Epidemiology (MOOSE) and Assessment of Multiple Systematic Reviews (AMSTAR) checklists were used to assess reporting characteristics and methodological quality, respectively.
