Background: Current studies on the role of sex in the prognosis of acute vertebrobasilar artery occlusion (VBAO) are limited. We aimed to explore whether there are sex differences on outcomes in patients treated with endovascular therapy (EVT) for VBAO.

Methods: Patients from December 2015 to December 2018 with acute VBAO within 24 h of the estimated occlusion time in 21 stroke centers in China were retrospectively analyzed.

After determining differentially expressed mutant genes related to leukemia, we further conducted principal component analysis and single-factor Cox regression analyses.

The differential analysis suggested that 1696 circRNAs, 1989 miRNAs, and 5550 mRNAs that were differentially expressed in CI samples were retrieved from GEO database.

Numerous studies have focused on whether the marital status has an impact on the prognosis in patients with non-small cell lung cancer, but none have focused on lung adenocarcinoma.We selected 61,928 eligible cases with lung adenocarcinoma from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database from 2004 to 2016 and analyzed the impact of marital status on cancer-specific survival (CSS) using Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analyses.We confirmed that sex, age, race, cancer TNM stage and grade, therapeutic schedule, household income, and marital status were independent prognostic factors for lung adenocarcinoma CSS.

New prenylated flavonoid glycosides from the stems of with their anti-tumor activities.

Two new prenylated flavonoid glycosides (), together with five known compounds () were isolated from the EtOAc-soluble extract of the stems of . The structures of new compounds were elucidated with spectroscopic and physico-chemical analyses. All isolates were evaluated for cytotoxic activities against HepG2, MCF-7, A549, and A2780 cancer cells.

Phytochemical investigation of the fruits of Xanthium strumarium and their cytotoxic activity.

Eight pentacyclic triterpenoids including two new ones (1, 2) were isolated from the fruits of Xanthium strumarium. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis. All isolates were evaluated for in vitro cytotoxic activity on HepG2, A549, HCT116 and SW480 cancer cells.
