An Immune-Related Prognostic Risk Model in Colon Cancer by Bioinformatics Analysis.

Evid Based Complement Alternat Med

August 2022

Department of Gastroenterology, The First People's Hospital of Xiaoshan Hangzhou, Hangzhou 311200, China.

Colon cancer is one of the leading malignancies with poor prognosis worldwide. Immune cell infiltration has a potential prognostic value for colon cancer. This study aimed to establish an immune-related prognostic risk model for colon cancer by bioinformatics analysis.

Objective: This study aims to explore the role and mechanism of AXL receptor tyrosine kinase (AXL) in relieving inflammatory pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Methods: RA mouse model was constructed by collagen antibody induction. RT-qPCR and Western blot were used to detect the level of AXL in RA fibroblast-like synovial cells (RA-FLS) and joint synovium.

Objectives: polysaccharide (ASP) is a traditional herbal medicine accompanied by antitumor potential. This study aims to explore the therapeutic potential of ASP on glioma, as well as the underlying mechanisms involving microRNA-373-3p (miR-373-3p) and the TGF-/Smad4 signaling pathway.

Methods: U251 cells (a human glioma cell line) were treated with different concentrations of ASP.

Atypical pneumonia caused by Chlamydia psittaci during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Int J Infect Dis

September 2022

Center for General Practice Medicine, Department of Infectious Diseases, Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital (Affiliated People's Hospital, Hangzhou Medical College), Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. Electronic address:

Objectives: Here, we retrospectively described the diagnosis and treatment of 32 cases diagnosed with Chlamydia psittaci pneumonia during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methods: Clinical information was collected from all the patients. Reverse transcription-PCR and ELISAs were conducted for the detection of COVID-19 using nasal swabs and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) samples.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is intractable due to its strong invasiveness and metastatic ability. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is the pivotal driver of tumor invasion and metastasis. The four-and-a-half LIM domain (FHL) family is involved in regulating transforming growth factor (TGF)-β and Ras signaling, which might control the EMT process.

Expression of gene and miR-363 in colorectal cancer was studied to explore its relationship with clinicopathological characteristics of colorectal cancer and to analyze the value of combined with miR-363 in the diagnosis of colorectal cancer. In total, 85 patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer in the First Peoples Hospital of Xiaoshan Hangzhou from March 2014 to July 2016 were the experiment group. Seventy healthy individuals who underwent physical examination were the control group.

Radiation-induced lung toxicity, including radiation pneumonitis and pulmonary fibrosis, often occurs in patients receiving radiation therapy. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of alveolar epithelial cells (AECs) plays critical roles in radiation-induced lung toxicity. In the present study, RNA sequencing was applied to examine the whole transcriptomes of human pulmonary AEC cells (HPAEpiC) with or without radiation treatment.

Statins could reduce the risks of coronary heart disease death and ischemic cardiovascular events. In this study, we aim to explore the role of rosuvastatin in ischemia/reperfusion (I/R)-injured cardiomyocytes and the possible mechanism. An I/R model was established by oxygen-glucose deprivation/reperfusion (OGD/R).

Radiation-induced lung injury (RILI) frequently occurs in patients with thoracic malignancies. In response to radiation, alveolar epithelial cells (AEC) undergo epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and contribute to the pathogenesis of RILI. Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) is reported as a downstream mediator of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) pathway, which plays a crucial role in radiation-induced EMT.

The study was to investigate the effect of combining treatment with cinnamaldehyde and parathyroid hormone (1-34) (PTH) on glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIO) and compare with monotherapy. Forty Sprague-Dawley male rats with GIO were divided into four groups randomly: control group (CON group, N = 10); group that intragastric administration with cinnamaldehyde (CIN group, N = 10); group that subcutaneous injection with PTH, three times per week(PTH group, N = 10); both administration with cinnamaldehyde and PTH (CIN + PTH group, N = 10). Distal femurs were harvested for hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining, micro-CT scanning and immunohistochemical analysis.

We investigated the associations between 2 major tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) polymorphisms, rs1799724 C>T and rs1800629 G>A, and the susceptibility to Crohn's disease (CD) using a meta-analysis framework. The PubMed, EBSCO, Ovid, Wiley, Web of Science, WANFANG, and VIP databases (last updated search in October 2014) were comprehensively searched for relevant published studies. The studies retrieved from database searches were filtered based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the resultant data extracted from the selected studies were analyzed using the Comprehensive Meta-analysis 2.

[Imaging classification of maxillary impacted central incisors].

Shanghai Kou Qiang Yi Xue

April 2012

Department of Stomatology, the First People's Hospital of Xiaoshan. Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.

Purpose: To investigate the classification of maxillary impacted central incisors through three-dimensional images.

Methods: Based on the original Dicom data of the spiral computed tomography of 103 patients with maxillary impacted central incisors, the three-dimensional images of maxillary impacted central incisors were reconstructed by Mimics 10.0 software, and the characteristics were analyzed and a classification was proposed.
