Background: Duloxetine, a serotonin-norepinephrine dual reuptake inhibitor, may improve analgesia after total joint arthroplasty (TJA). However, there is still no consensus on its effectiveness and safety. We conducted the meta-analysis to investigate the analgesic effect and safety of duloxetine for the treatment of patients received total knee or hip arthroplasty.

Background: Ralstonia is a genus of Gram-negative opportunistic bacteria that can survive in many kinds of solutions and cause a variety of infections. [Causes of False-Positive Results in Ga-Labeled Fibroblast Activation Protein Inhibitor PET/CT Imaging].

Objective To investigate the causes of false-positive results in the Ga-labeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor (Ga-FAPI-04) PET/CT imaging. Methods The imaging data of 547 patients undergoing Ga-FAPI-04 PET/CT examination in the Department of Nuclear Medicine of the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University from September 2020 to May 2021 were retrospectively collected.Two experienced nuclear medicine diagnostic physicians analyzed the clinical data,relevant imaging examinations,laboratory examinations,pathological results and follow-up results of the patients with false-positive results.

Saikosaponin-D (SSD), an active ingredient in Bupleurum chinense, exerts anticancer effects in various cancers by inhibiting cancer proliferation and inducing apoptosis. However, whether SSD can induce other forms of cell death is unknown. The current study aims to demonstrate that SSD can induce pyroptosis in non-small-cell lung cancer.

Purpose: There is little information regarding the overall survival (OS) predictive ability of the combination of tumor burden score (TBS), α-fetoprotein (AFP), and albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) grade for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Here, we aimed to develop a model including TBS, AFP, and ALBI grade to predict HCC patient OS following liver resection.

Methods: this was a prospective case-control study. From May 2020 to May 2021, 307 participants clinically diagnosed with cognitive impairment in the Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University were enrolled.

Long-term outcomes of laparoscopic liver resection versus open liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma: A single-center 10-year experience.

Background: Laparoscopic liver resection (LLR) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has increased. However, the long-term outcomes of LLR for HCCs should be validated further. Besides, the validity of laparoscopic minor liver resection in difficult segments (1, 4a, 7, 8) (LMLR-DS) and laparoscopic major hepatectomy (LMH) for HCCs need to be studied.

Incremental diagnostic value of radiomics signature of pericoronary adipose tissue for detecting functional myocardial ischemia: a multicenter study.

Objectives: To determine the incremental diagnostic value of radiomics signature of pericoronary adipose tissue (PCAT) in addition to the coronary artery stenosis and plaque characters for detecting hemodynamic significant coronary artery disease (CAD) based on coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA).

Methods: In a multicenter trial of 262 patients, CCTA and invasive coronary angiography were performed, with fractional flow reserve (FFR) in 306 vessels. A total of 13 conventional quantitative characteristics including plaque characteristics (N = 10) and epicardial adipose tissue characteristics (N = 3) were obtained.

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a common and fatal disease with a pathology involving endothelial dysfunction. The present research aimed to address the potential clinical significance of miR-125a-5p in DVT and its effect on the dysfunction of Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Serum miR-125a-5p levels were measured using RT-qPCR in 88 patients with DVT and 76 healthy controls.

A clinical investigation into the usefulness of fractional exhaled nitric oxide in guiding glucocorticoid therapy in children with bronchial asthma.

The present study aims to investigate the value of fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) combined with pulmonary function in guiding the dose adjustment of inhaled glucocorticosteroids (ICSs) in children with asthma. A total of 133 children aged 6-12 years with newly diagnosed asthma were enrolled as the study subjects and randomly divided into the experimental group (n=68) and the control group (n=65). After three months of ICS treatment, in the experimental group, the dose of ICSs was adjusted based on the control status of the children and the results of the pulmonary function tests and FeNO assays, and in the control group, the dose was adjusted based on the control status of the children and the results of the pulmonary function tests.

Single-port thoracoscopic removal of an azygos vein aneurysm: a case report and literature review.

Background: Azygos vein aneurysms (AVAs) are extremely rare. The majority of patients have no obvious clinical symptoms, so they are found by physical examination or by chance. There is limited clinical treatment experience that can be referred to, and there are no clear guidelines or research evidence standardizing the surgical and interventional therapy.

The three steps method for uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic right upper lobectomy.

Background: The uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic right upper lobectomy (UVATRUL), as a common procedure for thoracic surgeons, is difficult to manipulate and has some inherent challenges. To solve both of problems, we summarized a series of techniques as the three steps method and investigated its feasibility on the patients of right upper lung cancer.
