Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cells are genetically engineered T cells expressing transmembrane chimeric antigen receptors with specific targeting abilities. As an emerging immunotherapy, the use of CAR-T cells has made significant breakthroughs in cancer treatment, particularly for hematological malignancies. The success of CAR-T cell therapy in blood cancers highlights its potential for other conditions in which the clearance of pathological cells is therapeutic, such as liver diseases, infectious diseases, heart failure, and diabetes.

Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is a complex hematological malignancy distinguished by its heterogeneity in genetic aberrations, cellular composition, and clinical outcomes. This diversity complicates the development of effective, universally applicable therapeutic strategies and highlights the necessity for personalized approaches to treatment. In our study, we utilized high-resolution single-cell RNA sequencing from publicly available datasets to dissect the complex cellular landscape of AML.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) currently lacks a definitive cure. Studies have highlighted the involvement of SYTL4 expression levels in neoplasms, yet its specific roles in AML remain unexplored in the literature. Utilizing the TCGA and XENA databases, this study investigated SYTL4 expression levels in AML and identified associations between SYTL4 overexpression and clinicopathological features, prognosis, and immune infiltration in AML patients through genomic analysis.

Purpose: Hemoglobin (Hb) levels and red cell distribution width (RDW) are standard and widely used parameters that predict clinical outcomes in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). The Hb to RDW ratio (HRR) provides an incremental clinical prediction, as it reflects the various clinical characteristics of patients. No published data exists in the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care (MIMIC-IV) and eICU Collaborative Research Database (eICU-CRD) databases on HRR and its association with in-hospital mortality among patients with CHF.

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a severe cardiovascular disease characterized by elevated pulmonary vascular resistance, progressive increases in pulmonary artery pressures, ultimately leading to right-sided heart failure, and potentially mortality. Pulmonary vascular remodeling is pivotal in PAH onset and progression. While targeted drug therapies have notably ameliorated PAH prognosis, current medications primarily focus on vascular vasodilation, with limited ability to reverse pulmonary vascular remodeling fundamentally, resulting in suboptimal patient prognoses.

Purpose: To investigate the correlations of spherical equivalent (SE), axial length (AL), and AL to corneal curvature radius ratio (AL/CR) with anterior segment biometrics in candidates for myopic refractive surgery.
Methods: Anterior segment biometrics of 2,478 myopic refractive surgery candidates measured by Pentacam were collected retrospectively. The anterior segment biometrics included anterior corneal curvature (ACC), posterior corneal curvature (PCC), white-to-white corneal diameter (WTW), central corneal thickness (CCT), corneal volume at 3 mm (CV), anterior corneal astigmatism (ACA), posterior corneal astigmatism (PCA), anterior corneal eccentricity (ACE), posterior corneal eccentricity (PCE), anterior corneal asphericity (ACAP), posterior corneal asphericity (PCAP), anterior chamber depth (ACD), and anterior chamber volume (ACV).

Background: Improvements in the standard of living have led to increased attention to perianal disease. Although surgical treatments are effective, the outcomes of post-operative recovery (POR) are influenced by various factors, including individual differences among patients, the characteristics of the disease itself, and the psychological state of the patient. Understanding these factors can help healthcare providers develop more personalized and effective post-operative care plans for patients with perianal disease.

Background: Gastrointestinal cancer is a significant cause of cancer incidence and mortality. Nevertheless, the epidemiology of the burden among adolescents and young adults (AYAs, aged 15-39 years) remains limited in the Asia-Pacific region, despite the region's significant population. This study aims to explore the gastrointestinal cancer burden among AYAs in the Asia-Pacific region for the year 2019, while also analysing trends from 1990 to 2019 and projecting future trends up to 2044.

Background: Ethical competency is important to head nurses' transformational leadership, however, few researches have explored their correlation, Additionally, most studies used variable-oriented approach to examine ethical competence, without considering it as a multidimensional concept. This study aimed to identify the latent profiles of head nurses' ethical competence and examine differences in transformational leadership across latent profiles.
Methods: Convenience sampling was used to recruit 329 head nurses from four tertiary hospitals in Changsha, Hunan province, China.
