Purpose: This study delves into the hemodynamic characteristics of Vertebrobasilar Artery Fenestration (VBAF) combined with Vertebrobasilar Dolichoectasia (VBD) using Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA). By summarizing the hemodynamic features and identifying high-risk populations, we aim to provide insights for clinical treatment.
Methods: Utilizing MRA images as a foundation, arterial three-dimensional geometric models were constructed.

Background And Aims: The relationship between uric acid to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (UHR) and mortality in individuals with diabetes remains uncertain. This study aimed to explore the relationship between serum UHR and all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality in adults with diabetes.
Methods And Results: A total of 5,665 patients with diabetes were enrolled from the 2005-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Background: HBP, a novel biomarker released from neutrophils, may induce inflammatory responses and exacerbate vascular permeability, representing the pathophysiological characteristics of sepsis and septic shock. However, it remains uncertain whether the combination of HBP with other biomarkers yields enhanced diagnostic capacity for sepsis. We hypothesized that measurements included IL-6·IL-8·HBP, IL-6·IL-8·HBP/ALB and HBP/ALB which based on HBP will improve its diagnostic efficacy and even better than the traditional infection biomarkers.

Purpose: Nanovesicles (NVs) derived from bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) as drug delivery systems are considered an effective therapeutic strategy for diabetes. However, its mechanism of action remains unclear. Here, we evaluated the efficacy and molecular mechanism of BMSC-derived NVs carrying the curcumin analog H8 (H8-BMSCs-NVs) on hepatic glucose and lipid metabolism in type 2 diabetes (T2D).

Introduction: Cardiovascular disease nursing is a critical clinical application that necessitates real-time monitoring models. Previous models required the use of multi-lead signals and could not be customized as needed. Traditional methods relied on manually designed supervised algorithms, based on empirical experience, to identify waveform abnormalities and classify diseases, and were incapable of monitoring and alerting abnormalities in individual waveforms.

Background: Radiomics has been used in the diagnosis of tumor lymph node metastasis (LNM). However, to date, most studies have been based on intratumoral radiomics. Few studies have focused on the use of F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission computed tomography (F-FDG PET/CT) peritumoral radiomics for the diagnosis of LNM in colorectal cancer (CRC).

Sanhan Huashi granules (SHG) demonstrated therapeutic effects against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in observational studies. In order to compare the effectiveness and safety of SHG and nirmatrelvir-ritonavir in treating adults with mild-to-moderate COVID-19, we conducted a randomized, active-controlled, open-label, multi-center trial conducted between February and July in 2023. The patients were randomized in a 1:1 ratio to the SHG group and the nirmatrelvir-ritonavir group.

Background: The Dietary Inflammation Index (DII) is a tool for evaluating the potential for dietary inflammation, and inflammation is a major cause of exacerbation in chronic kidney disease. Our study aimed to investigate the relationship between DII and albuminuria.
Methods: Data were obtained from the 2005-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) after excluding pregnant, minors, and missing data of urinary albumin-creatinine ratio (ACR), estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), and DII were enrolled in our study.

Objective: Previous studies have revealed that Propane-2-sulfonic acid octadec-9-enyl-amide(N15) exerts a protective role in the inflammatory response after ischemic stroke and in neuronal damage. However, little is known about N15 in Alzheimer's disease (AD). The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of N15 on AD and explore the underlying molecular mechanism.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is one of the hallmarks of cardiovascular aging. The leakage of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is increased in senescent cells, which are resistant to programmed cell death such as apoptosis. Due to its similarity to prokaryotic DNA, mtDNA could be recognized by cellular DNA sensors and trigger innate immune responses, resulting in chronic inflammatory conditions during aging.

Background: Stroke is a major cause of death and severe disability, and there remains a substantial need for the development of therapeutic agents for neuroprotection in acute ischemic stroke (IS) to protect the brain against damage before and during recanalization. Caveolin-1 (CAV1), an integrated protein that is located at the caveolar membrane, has been reported to exert neuroprotective effects during IS. Nevertheless, the mechanism remains largely unknown.

Compare the spine's stability after laminectomy (LN) and laminoplasty (LP) for two posterior surgeries. Simultaneously, design a new vertebral titanium porous mini plate (TPMP) to achieve firm fixation of the open-door vertebral LP fully. The objective is to enhance the fixation stability, effectively prevent the possibility of "re-closure," and may facilitate bone healing.

This study investigated whether microbubbles activated by low-frequency ultrasound enhanced the anti-tumor effects of curcumin in glioma cells. CCK8 proliferation assay, scratch migration assay, and transwell invasion assay were performed to estimate the proliferation, migration, and invasion rates of the glioma cells in blank control and different treatment groups, respectively. Quantitative RT-PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis was performed to determine the relative expression levels of VEGF and NCAM mRNAs in the various experimental groups.

Background: Pegmolesatide, a synthetic peptide-based erythropoietin (EPO) receptor agonist, is being evaluated as an alternative to epoetin alfa for treating anemia of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Chinese dialysis patients. There is a critical need for a long-acting, cost-effective erythropoiesis-stimulating agent that does not produce EPO antibodies.
Methods: A randomized, open-label, active-comparator, non-inferiority phase three trial was conducted at 43 dialysis centers in China between May 17th, 2019, and March 28th, 2022.
