Current status and challenges of immunotherapy in ALK rearranged NSCLC.

Rearrangements of the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene account for 5-6% in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ALK rearranged NSCLC is sensitive to ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) but prone to drug resistance. Meanwhile, ALK rearranged NSCLC has poor response to single immunotherapy.

Prognostic and clinicopathological significance of the Prognostic Nutritional Index in patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumours undergoing surgery: a meta-analysis.

Objectives: Previous studies have investigated the prognostic value of the Prognostic Nutritional Index (PNI) in patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs). However, the results have been inconsistent. We performed a meta-analysis to quantitatively determine the prognostic and clinicopathological significance of PNI in GISTs.

Low back pain (LBP) is a common problem worldwide, resulting in great patient suffering and great challenges for the social health system. Intervertebral disc (IVD) degeneration (IVDD) is widely acknowledged as one of the key causes of LBP. Materials And Methods: From March 2014 to August 2020, 161 patients with pathologically confirmed gastric adenocarcinoma were included from two centers (center 1 as the training and internal testing sets, n = 101; center 2 as the external testing sets, n = 60). All patients underwent preoperative contrast-enhanced computerized tomography (CT) examination.

Background: Indolent T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder of the gastrointestinal tract (ITLPD-GI), a primary tumor forming in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, represents a rarely diagnosed clonal T-cell disease with a protracted clinical course.

Case Summary: This report presented a 45-year-old male patient with a 6-year history of anal fistula and a more than 10-year history of recurrent diarrhea who was not correctly diagnosed until the occurrence of complications such as intestinal perforation. Postsurgical histopathological analysis, combined with hematoxylin-eosin staining, immunohistochemistry and TCRβ/γ clonal gene rearrangement test, confirmed the diagnosis of CD8+ ITLPD-GI.

Association of circulating vaspin levels and patients with metabolic-associated fatty liver disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: The incidence rate of metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is increasing annually; however, there are still no effective methods for establishing an early diagnosis and conducting real-time tracing. Vaspin can affect the metabolic processes in the body, and it is closely associated with many metabolic diseases. Many previous studies have speculated on the association between vaspin and MAFLD, but the results of these studies have not been conclusive.

Log P analyzation-based discovery of GSH activated biotin-tagged fluorescence probe for selective colorectal cancer imaging.

Targeted activatable fluorescent probes could provide an effective approach for colorectal cancer imaging. In this study, F1 was found as an effective targeted activatable fluorescent probe based on log P analysis. In vitro experiments demonstrated that the initial fluorescence of the developed probe F1 was initially well quenched, and the fluorescence increased after the probe interacted with glutathione.
