In the post-pandemic era, research on respiratory diseases should refocus on pathogens other than the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Respiratory pathogens, highly infectious to children, with to different modes of infection, such as single-pathogen infections and co-infections. Understanding the seasonal patterns of these pathogens, alongside identifying single infections and co-infections and their impact on the pediatric immune status, is crucial for clinical diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis in children.

Brain injury is the leading cause of mortality among patients who survive cardiac arrest (CA). Clinical studies have shown that the presence of post-CA hypoxic hepatitis or pre-CA liver disease is associated with increased mortality and inferior neurological recovery. In our in vivo global cerebral ischemia model, we observed a larger infarct area, elevated tissue injury scores, and increased intravascular CD45+ cell adhesion in reperfused brains with simultaneous hepatic ischemia than in those without it.

Background: Our aim was to evaluate the influence of staged goal directed therapy (GDT) on postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs), intraoperative hemodynamics and oxygenation in patients undergoing Mckeown esophagectomy.

Methods: Patients were randomly divided into three groups, staged GDT group (group A, n = 56): stroke volume variation (SVV) was set at 8-10% during the one lung ventilation (OLV) stage and 8-12% during the two lung ventilation (TLV) stage, GDT group (group B, n = 56): received GDT with a target SVV of 8-12% During the entire surgical procedure, and control group (group C, n = 56): conventional fluid therapy was administered by mean arterial pressure (MAP), central venous pressure (CVP), and urine volume. The primary outcome was the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications within Postoperative days (POD) 7.

To investigate the prognostic value of enteroscopic grading for the prognostic assessment of patients with malignant hematological diseases who developed intestinal acute graft-versus-host disease (IT-aGVHD) after unrelated cord blood transplantation (UCBT) . Fifty patients with IT-aGVHD who developed hormone resistance after UCBT from June 2016 to June 2023 at Anhui Provincial Hospital were collected to compare the effective and survival rates of IT-aGVHD treatment in the group with milder enteroscopic mucosal injury (27 cases, enteroscopic grading of Ⅰ and Ⅱ) and the group with more severe injury (23 cases, enteroscopic grading of Ⅲ and Ⅳ) and to retrospectively analyze the factors affecting patients' prognosis. Patients in the mild and severe groups had an effective rate of 92.
