As a fundamental component of antitumor therapy, chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity (CIC) has emerged as a leading cause of long-term mortality in patients with malignant tumors. Unfortunately, there are currently no effective therapeutic preventive or treatment strategies, and the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms of CIC remain inadequately understood. A growing number of studies have shown that different mechanisms of cell death, such as apoptosis, pyroptosis, and necroptosis, are essential for facilitating the cardiotoxic effects of chemotherapy.

Large bone defects are still a persistent challenge in orthopedics. The availability limitations and associated complications of autologous and allogeneic bone have prompted an increasing reliance on tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. In this study, we developed an injectable scaffold combining an acellular extracellular periosteal matrix hydrogel with poly(d,l-lactate--glycol-acetate) microspheres loaded with the E7 peptide and miR217 (miR217/E7@MP-GEL).

Background: Postoperative spinal epidural hematoma (SEH) is a rare but serious complication following lumbar surgery, with cauda equina syndrome (CES) being one of its most devastating outcomes. While CES typically presents with a combination of bladder and/or bowel dysfunction, diminished sensation in the saddle area, and motor or sensory changes in the lower limbs, atypical cases with isolated urinary symptoms are less recognized and pose significant diagnostic challenges.
Case Presentation: We report the case of a 46-year-old male who developed CES following lumbar microdiscectomy, presenting solely with urinary retention, without the classic signs of lower limb weakness or perineal sensory loss.

This study sought to compare bacterial abundance and diversity in milk and feces of healthy lactating women with patients suffering from lactation mastitis, explore the pathogenesis of lactation mastitis, and develop new ideas for its treatment and prevention from a microbiological perspective. A total of 19 lactating mastitis patients and 19 healthy lactating women were recruited. Milk and fecal Specimens were obtained from both groups, and microbial community structure was analyzed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune disease that affects multiple organ systems, often presenting with polyarticular joint manifestations. Despite its relevance, there is currently limited research on the impact of MPs on lupus arthritis.

This study reviewed the concept and assessment tools of physical activity (PA), the level and limiting factors of PA in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and its impact on patient clinical outcomes, aimed at providing a reference for exercise-assisted treatment of people with IBD. The current findings of PA in patients with IBD focus on the risk of disease, promoting and limiting factors, and the effect of clinical outcomes. Patients with IBD have inadequate levels of PA, and the association of PA with IBD incidence and disease activity remains controversial.

Background: Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), particularly M2-polarized TAMs, are significant contributors to tumor progression, immune evasion, and therapy resistance in gastric cancer (GC). Despite efforts to target TAM recruitment or depletion, clinical efficacy remains limited. Consequently, the identification of targets that specifically inhibit or reprogram M2-polarized TAMs presents a promising therapeutic strategy.
