RNA binding proteins (RBPs) have the potential for transcriptional regulation in sepsis-induced liver injury, but precise functions remain unclear. Our aim is to conduct a genome-wide expression analysis of RBPs and illuminate changes in the regulation of alternative splicing in sepsis-induced liver injury. RNA-seq data on "sepsis and liver" from the publicly available NCBI data set was analyzed, and differentially expressed RBPs and alternative splicing events (ASEs) in the healthy and septic liver were identified.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of concentrated growth factor (CGF) combined with sodium hyaluronate (SH) on treating temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA) in 60 patients.
  • Patients were split into two groups: one received CGF + SH treatment and the other received SH only, with measurements taken for pain and joint function at various intervals after treatment.
  • Results showed significant improvements in pain relief, joint function, and condylar health in the experimental group compared to the control group, indicating that the CGF + SH combination is beneficial for TMJOA.

Background: The progression and persistence of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MI/RI) are strongly linked to local inflammatory responses and oxidative stress. Cyclophilin A (CypA), a pro-inflammatory factor, is involved in various cardiovascular diseases. However, the role and mechanism of action of CypA in MI/RI are still not fully understood.

Background: Cystic echinococcosis, caused by the larval stage of , remains a global health challenge. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are renowned for their regenerative and immunomodulatory properties. Given the parasite's mode of establishment, we postulate that MSCs likely play a pivotal role in the interaction between the parasite and the host.

Objective: The Toll-like receptor (TLR) 4-mediated nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling pathway regulates the production of inflammatory factors and plays a key role in the pathogenesis of gouty arthritis. The aim of the present study was to investigate the link among TLR4 gene polymorphisms at various loci, protein expression, and gouty arthritis susceptibility.

Methods: Between 2016 and 2021, a case-control study was used to collect a total of 1207 study subjects, including 317 male patients with gouty arthritis (gout group) and 890 healthy males (control group).
