RNA binding proteins (RBPs) have the potential for transcriptional regulation in sepsis-induced liver injury, but precise functions remain unclear. Our aim is to conduct a genome-wide expression analysis of RBPs and illuminate changes in the regulation of alternative splicing in sepsis-induced liver injury. RNA-seq data on "sepsis and liver" from the publicly available NCBI data set was analyzed, and differentially expressed RBPs and alternative splicing events (ASEs) in the healthy and septic liver were identified.

Periodontal disease is the most common type of oral disease. Periodontal bone defect is the clinical outcome of advanced periodontal disease, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Promoting periodontal tissue regeneration and repairing periodontal bone defects is the ultimate treatment goal for periodontal disease, but the means and methods are very limited.

Nomogram for predicting survival in T1-T2 stage patients with supraglottic squamous cell carcinoma.

Background: Supraglottic squamous cell carcinoma (SGSCC) is characterized by low differentiation, rapid growth, and inconspicuous initial manifestations. Early detection and prompt treatment can significantly improve survival rates. The main focus of treatment is to maintain optimal laryngeal function.

Magnetic resonance imaging features and classification of intraspinal echinococcosis.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features and classification of echinococcosis of the spinal canal.

Methods: The clinical manifestations and MRI findings and classification of 19 patients diagnosed with intraspinal echinococcosis over 10 years (2011-2020) were retrospectively analyzed.

Results: The mean age of the nine males and 10 females was 39 years (range 28-65 years).

Methods: Twelve male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into the CIH group and the Normoxic Control (NC) group. Changes in structure, function, and pathology of heart tissue were observed through echocardiography, transmission electron microscopy, HE-staining, and TUNEL staining.

Right ventricular volume and function by three-dimensional echocardiography: results of the echocardiographic measurements in normal Chinese adults (EMINCA) II.

Three-dimensional (3D) echocardiography is an emerging technique for assessing right ventricular (RV) volume and function, but 3D-RV normal values from a large Chinese population are still lacking. The aim of the present study was to establish normal values of 3D-RV volume and function in healthy Chinese volunteers. A total of 1117 Han Chinese volunteers from 28 laboratories in 20 provinces of China were enrolled, and 3D-RV images of 747 volunteers with optimal image quality were ultimately analyzed by a core laboratory.

[Short-term efficacy and safety of cardiac contractility modulation in patients with heart failure].

To investigate the short-term efficacy and safety of cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) in patients with heart failure. This was a cross-sectional study of patients with heart failure who underwent CCM placement at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from February to June 2022. With a follow-up of 3 months, CCM sensation, impedance, percent output, and work time were monitored, and patients were compared with pre-and 3-month postoperative left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) values, and 6-minute walk test distance and New York Heart Association (NYHA) cardiac function classification, and the occurrence of complications was recorded.

Relationship between sarcopenia and fatty liver in middle-aged and elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Objective: In this study, we investigated the relationship between sarcopenia and fatty liver in middle-aged and elderly patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) to provide a theoretical foundation for the prevention and treatment of sarcopenia.

Methods: A total of 282 patients diagnosed with T2DM aged 50 and older and were admitted to the Endocrinology Department of Xin Medical University First Affiliated Hospital between December 2021 and February 2023, were selected. Body mass index (BMI), and limb and trunk muscle mass of the patients were measured, and data were collected.

Midterm outcomes of autogenous mature third molars transplantation into surgically created sockets: A retrospective cohort study.

Background/aims: The purpose of this study was to observe the outcome of mature third molars transplantation into surgically created sockets with the assistance of computer designed three dimensional (3-D) printed replicas and compare its outcome with the conventional fresh socket autotransplantation.

Material And Methods: This study included total of 96 mature third molars autotransplanted in 96 cases with the guidance of computer designed 3-D printed replicas. Forty-eight teeth autotransplanted into surgically created sockets were enrolled into the surgically created socket group and 48 teeth conventionally autotransplanted into fresh sockets were enrolled into the fresh socket group.

Risk factors and prediction score for new-onset diabetes mellitus after liver transplantation.

Aim: New-onset diabetes mellitus is a frequent and severe complication arising after liver transplantation (LT). We aimed to identify the risk factors for new-onset diabetes mellitus after liver transplantation (NODALT) and to develop a risk prediction score system for relevant risks.

Methods: We collected and analyzed data from all recipients who underwent liver transplantation at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of anatomical locking plate in the treatment of Rockwood type Ⅰ-Ⅲ patella fractures.

Methods: The clinical data of 16 patients with patella fractures who were admitted between November 2021 and January 2023 and met the selection criteria was retrospectively analyzed. There were 14 males and 2 females, with an average age of 44.

Treatment of Cavernous Transformation of Portal Vein Caused by Hepatic Cystic Echinococcosis Using Ex Vivo Liver Resection and Autotransplantation.

BACKGROUND Hepatic cystic echinococcosis (HCE) is a frequently overlooked parasitic liver disease, for which the commonly recommended treatment is radical resection. However, this approach is often associated with severe comorbidities such as HBV/HCV, cirrhosis, and hepatic carcinoma, among others. CASE REPORT In this report, we present a case successfully managed by ex vivo liver resection and autologous liver transplantation (ELRA).

Methods: It is a Observational study. Infertile men (n = 250) attending a fertility centre in a hospital in Xinjiang, matched 1:2 men with no obvious male factor in the control group (n = 500).

Efficacy of Random Forest Models in Predicting Multidrug-Resistant Gram-Negative Bacterial Nosocomial Infections Compared to Traditional Logistic Regression Models.

This study evaluates whether random forest (RF) models are as effective as traditional Logistic Regression (LR) models in predicting multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacterial nosocomial infections. Data were collected from 541 patients with hospital-acquired Gram-negative bacterial infections at two tertiary-level hospitals in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China, from August 2022 to November 2023. Relevant literature informed the selection of significant predictors based on patients' pre-infection clinical information and medication history.
